P.O. Box Unabomber
''P.O. Box Unabomber'' (alternative title ''Praehidno'') is a Bulgarian theatre play written by Zdrava Kamenova and Gergana Dimitrova. The play won "Ikar" award of the Union of Bulgarian Artists in 2012 for Best Bulgarian play of the year. Themes The authors bring several elements into focus in their work; mainly the notions of Ted Kaczynski and his manifesto. They focus heavily on Kaczynski's position that technology seems to be corrupting, rather than advancing the human race. Gergana Dimitrova
Gergana Dimitrova ( bg, Гергана Димитрова) is Bulgarian theatre director, playwright and translator. Biography Gergana Dimitrova was born in 1975 in Bourgas, graduated in Cultural Studies from the University of Sofia (2000) and in Theatre Directing from Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin (2005) and the National Academy of Theatre & Film in Sofia (2007). Dimitrova is a member of the new wave of Bulgarian theatre which succeeded to the one which developed during the years after the end of the communist pro-Soviet regime in 1989. Veneta Doytcheva, a Bulgarian theatre critic, writes about this new wave:— Dimitrova with two other theatre directors, Mladen Alexiev and Vassilena Radeva, founded in 2007 "36 Singes", a NGO "for contemporary alternative art and culture". Ted Kaczynski
Theodore John Kaczynski ( ; born May 22, 1942), also known as the Unabomber (), is an American domestic terrorist and former mathematics professor. Between 1978 and 1995, Kaczynski killed three people and injured 23 others in a nationwide mail bombing campaign against people he believed to be advancing modern technology and the destruction of the environment. ''Industrial Society and Its Future'', generally known as the ''Unabomber Manifesto'', is a 1995 anti-technology essay by Ted Kaczynski, the "Unabomber". The manifesto contends that the Industrial Revolution began a harmful process of natural destruction brought about by technology, while forcing humans to adapt to machinery, creating a sociopolitical order that suppresses human freedom and potential. The 35,000-word manifesto formed the ideological foundation of Kaczynski's 1978–1995 mail bomb campaign, designed to protect wilderness by hastening the collapse of industrial society. Western Long-beaked Echidna
The western long-beaked echidna (''Zaglossus bruijnii'') is one of the four extant echidnas and one of three species of ''Zaglossus'' that occurs in New Guinea. Originally described as ''Tachyglossus bruijnii'', this is the type species of ''Zaglossus''. Description The western long-beaked echidna is an egg-laying mammal. Unlike the short-beaked echidna, which eats ants and termites, the long-beaked species eats earthworms. The long-beaked echidna is also larger than the short-beaked species, reaching up to ; the snout is longer and turns downward; and the spines are almost indistinguishable from the long fur. It is distinguished from the other ''Zaglossus'' species by the number of claws on the fore and hind feet: three (rarely four). It is the largest extant monotreme.
