Owe Jonsson (23 November 1940 – 29 September 1962) was a Swedish sprinter, ice hockey player and bandy player. Jonsson mostly competed in 100–400 m sprint events, winning seven national titles in 1960–1962. His favorite distance was 200 m, in which he broke the Swedish national record six times and won the European champion title in Belgrade in September 1962. Less than two weeks after that he died in a car accident on the road between his hometown, Växjö and Alvesta. A street near the athletics track in Växjö is named after him. Sven Owe Ohlsson (born 19 August 1938) is a Swedish former football player who played as a forward and later became a manager. He most notably represented IFK Göteborg and AIK at the club level. He won 15 caps for the Sweden national team and was a squad member at the 1958 FIFA World Cup. Club career Born in Hälsö, he played for local club Hälsö BK before moving to Swedish giants IFK Göteborg and AIK. He ended his career as player-coach of IFK Stockholm. Owe Thörnqvist (born 12 March 1929 in Uppsala) is a Swedish singer-songwriter and revue artist. Since the 1960s he has lived in Spain and Florida in the winter for health reasons, and in Sweden in the summers. He has also made regular concert tours in Sweden. In 1953, Thörnqvist produced his first revue in Uppsala, and in 1955 his first record was released. His musical style includes rock, ballroom rumba and calypso, and he has also written pastiches of American popular music; his texts are characterised by word play and humour. Thörnqvist was one of the first people to do stand-up comedy in Sweden, in venues such as Hamburger Börs and Berns in Stockholm in the 1950s. He has worked together with artists such as Povel Ramel (in the revue ''I hatt och strumpa'' in 1961–62), Anita Lindblom, Lill Lindfors, and Eva Rydberg. General (Sweden), General Owe Erik Axel Wiktorin (born 7 May 1940) is a retired Swedish Air Force officer. Wiktorin was Supreme Commander of the Swedish Armed Forces from 1994 to 2000. His time as Supreme Commander was marked by major cutbacks of the Swedish defense. Early life Wiktorin was born on 7 May 1940 in Motala, Sweden, the son of Erik Wiktorin, a chief accountant, and his wife Esther (née Johnson). Wiktorin was dreaming of becoming a pilot at a young age and he built aircraft models during when growing up in Askersund. Baard Arne Owe (3 July 1936, Mosjøen, Norway – 11 November 2017, aged 81, Copenhagen, Denmark), sometimes credited Bård Owe, was a Norwegian-born Danish actor who has acted in many Scandinavian films and TV series. He moved to Denmark in 1956, and there he lived and worked right up to his death.
