Ovince Saint Preux
Ovince Saint Preux (born April 8, 1983) is a Haitian-American professional mixed martial artist who competes in the light heavyweight division of the UFC. A professional competitor since 2008, Saint Preux has also formerly competed for Strikeforce, the XFC, and Shark Fights. He is known for his unorthodox fighting style, and has gained notability and notoriety for having won four fights using the rare Von Flue choke submission, leading to fans renaming it to the "Von Preux choke". Background Saint Preux was born in Immokalee, Florida, to Haitian immigrant parents. He attended Immokalee High School in Immokalee, Florida, where he wrestled, played defensive end for the football team, and ran track. As a wrestler, he compiled a record of 26–1, and was the state's 1A runner-up in his weight class. The 4 × 400 metres relay or long relay is an athletics track event in which teams consist of four runners who each complete 400 metres or one lap. It is traditionally the final event of a track meet. At top class events, the first leg and the first bend of the second leg are run in lanes. Start lines are thus staggered over a greater distance than in an individual 400 metres race; the runners then typically move to the inside of the track. The slightly longer 4 × 440 yards relay was a formerly run British and American event, until metrication was completed in the 1970s. Jason Day (born March 18, 1979) is a Canadian former mixed martial artist born in Lethbridge, Alberta. He has fought for a variety of Mixed martial arts promotions, including the Ultimate Fighting Championship, TKO Major League MMA, and King of the Cage. Career Day, a practitioner of the Eddie Bravo "Rubber Guard" grappling system, holds notable victories over UFC middleweight contender Alan Belcher and former UFC middleweight title challenger David Loiseau. On August 4, 2011 he was involved in a traffic accident while riding on his bike. Due to sustained injuries by the accident, Day could no longer compete in MMA. In 2014 the court ruled that the car driver was 90-percent at fault.
