Ovi Bistriceanu
Ovidiu Bistriceanu, known professionally as Ovi, is a Romanian-Canadian songwriter and producer, best known for his dance-pop productions, urban and pop-rock. His collaborations include singer Mia Martina for ''Burning'' which peaked at #8 on Billboard Canadian CHR Top 40 Chart and #25 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 Chart, and Massari for ''Brand New Day'' which charted in several countries including Canada, Germany, Hungary and Austria. He has also worked with several other artists and musicians including French Montana, Elena Gheorghe, Andreea Bănică, Mozhdah and Nat Jay. Awards In 2014, Ovi was awarded the SOCAN Songwriting Prize for Burning in the category Pop/Rock Music. Năvodari (, historical names: ''Carachioi''; ''Caracoium'', tr, Kara Koyum) is a town in Constanța County, region of Northern Dobruja, Romania, with a population of 32,400. The town formally includes a territorially distinct community, Social Group Peninsula, and administers the neighbouring village of Mamaia-Sat. Etymology The name of the town means "trawlers" in Romanian. The Canadian Hot 100 is a music industry record chart in Canada for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. The Canadian Hot 100 was launched on the issue dated March 31, 2007, and is currently the standard record chart in Canada; a new chart is compiled and officially released to the public by ''Billboard'' on Tuesdays but post-dated to the following Saturday. "Shisha" is a single by Lebanese Canadian singer Massari. It is the third single off his first EP ''Hero''. The song was released on May 21, 2013 and features vocals from American rapper French Montana. The song peaked at number 37 on the Canadian Hot 100. "Ecou" (Romanian for ''Echo'') is a song recorded by Romanian recording artist Elena Gheorghe and featuring rapper Glance. The song was released as the lead single from Gheorghe's forthcoming untitled bilingual album. Musically, the song is a pop tune, which is influenced by genres such as electropop and R&B/soul. Lyrically, "Ecou" is a love song which speaks of woman unable to move on over a past romantic relationship. The song is entirely written and performed in Romanian, following the new wave of popular Romanian musical compositions sung in the native language. "Midnight Sun" is a song recorded by the Romanian female singer Elena Gheorghe. The song was recorded in summer 2010 and premiered on November 15, 2010, on Gheorghe's official YouTube channel. It was released under Cat Music exclusively in Romania. The song has more house influences than the previous number-one hit "Disco Romancing". It was sent to the mainstream radio stations in late November and it is promoted as the second single taken from Gheorghe's album entitled ''Disco Romancing''. Multiple record charts have been inaugurated in Romania since the 1990s. The Romanian Top 100 was the country's national chart until 2012. Founded in 1995, it was a ranking based on the compilation of charts submitted by local Romanian radio stations. The Romanian Top 100 was published weekly and was also announced during a radio show starting in 1998. Compilation of the list was first handled by Body M Production A-V, followed by Media Forest. In the 2010s, the chart was announced during a podcast on Kiss FM, but the broadcast ended in February 2012. Later that month, the Airplay 100—which was compiled by Media Forest and also broadcast by Kiss FM—replaced the Romanian Top 100 as a national chart. Disco Romancing
"Disco Romancing" is a song by Romanian artist Elena Gheorghe. It is her sixth single to be released and the first since her Eurovision Song Contest entry, in 2009. With "Disco Romancing", Gheorghe tries a new musical style, house, a very successful musical style in Romania, and, because of Romanian artists such as Inna and Edward Maya, worldwide. The song was written by Laurenţiu Duţă (ex- 3 Sud Est) and Ovidiu Bistriceanu, and was produced by Duţă. They also wrote and produced "The Balkan Girls" for Elena. ''Vocea ta'' (Romanian for ''Your Voice'') is the debut solo studio album by Romanian singer-songwriter Elena Gheorghe. Released in summer 2006, it is her first studio album since leaving the Latino pop band Mandinga, where she was the lead vocalist until 2005.
