Over The Moon (1939 Film)
''Over the Moon'' is a 1939 British Technicolor comedy film directed by Thornton Freeland and starring Merle Oberon, Rex Harrison, Ursula Jeans and Herbert Lomas. Plot summary Jane Benson (Merle Oberon) is a lowly Yorkshire girl who lives simply, caring for her elderly, ailing uncle and not wishing for anything more. She does take a fancy, however, to the local doctor, Freddie Jarvis (Rex Harrison), and she persuades him to marry her. Soon she finds she has inherited eighteen million pounds and wants to travel across Europe with Freddie Jarvis; however he wants to stay as he is dedicated to his patients. So she leaves for Europe without him and is followed by suitors who are not necessarily interested in her personality. Meanwhile, back in Yorkshire, Dr Jarvis becomes notorious as the man who turned down £18 million and the infamy seriously affects his ability for serious research. ''Over the Moon'' is a 2020 computer-animated musical fantasy film directed by Glen Keane and co-directed by John Kahrs, from a screenplay by Audrey Wells with additional screenplay material by Alice Wu and Jennifer Yee McDevitt. The film was produced by Pearl Studio and Netflix Animation, and animated by Sony Pictures Imageworks. It stars the voices of Cathy Ang, Phillipa Soo, Ken Jeong, John Cho, Ruthie Ann Miles, Margaret Cho, and Sandra Oh. The plot follows an adventurous girl named Fei Fei, who builds a rocket ship to meet a mythical goddess on the moon. ''Over the Moon'' was first shown at the Montclair Film Festival on October 17, 2020, followed by its Netflix and select theaters release on October 23. The film grossed $860,000 worldwide; it earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Animated Feature Film, and was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 93rd Academy Awards. Lee Chae-yeon (; born January 11, 2000), better known as the mononym Chaeyeon, is a South Korean singer, dancer and songwriter. She is known as the former member of the Japanese-Korean girl group Iz*One after placing 12th place on Mnet's girl group survival show ''Produce 48''. Chaeyeon made her solo debut with extended play ''Hush Rush'' on October 12, 2022. Early life Chaeyeon was born on January 11, 2000, in Yongin, South Korea.
