Outta Control (group)
Outta Control, and later Killer Bunnies, was a Canadian house/Eurodance project based out of Toronto, Ontario. History DJ/remixer/producers Barry Harris and Rachid Wehbi together with vocalist Kimberley Wetmore originally came together and began recording under the name Outta Control. From 1995 to 1997, the group had three hit singles on ''Billboard'''s Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart: "Tonight It's Party Time", "One of Us" (Joan Osborne cover), and "Sinful Wishes" (Kon Kan cover). Class Action (band)
Class Action and Phreek were disco and post-disco musical projects. The original Phreek comprised Christine Wiltshire, Leroy Burgess, Patrick Adams, Stan Lucas, Ken Mazur and others. Class Action was directed by Larry Levan and featured Christine Wiltshire as vocalist. Both groups are best known for their club hit, "Weekend", written by James Calloway and Leroy Burgess. The 1983 version was remixed by Morales and Munzibai and Larry Levan and produced by Bob Blank and Lola Blank. History The song "Weekend" was originally recorded on Atlantic Records by Patrick Adams' studio group Phreek of which Wiltshire was a member. The song was heavily played by Larry Levan yet it was commercially unavailable so it did not enter any charts. The ''Billboard'' Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States. The weekly tracking period for sales was initially Monday to Sunday when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991, but was changed to Friday to Thursday in July 2015. The Canadian dance chart was first known to be published on November 13, 1976 by ''RPM'' magazine under the name ''Top 30 Disco Playlist''. The song which held the number-one spot on this first chart was "Keep It Comin' Love / I'm Your Boogie Man" by KC and the Sunshine Band. No chart was published from January 1980 until September 3, 1988. The final archived chart was under the name ''Top 30 Dance'' and was published on October 16, 2000, three weeks before the magazine ceased publication.
