Outside (CFCF Album)
''Outside'' is the second studio album of Canadian electronic musician Michael Silver, known by his stage name as CFCF. Silver began work on a second CFCF LP shortly after the release of his debut album ''Continent'' (2009) in order to increase his reputation of being more than just a "house DJ." The record has feelings of being tired and hoping to reach something, which was influenced by Silver's experience in traveling to and from places such as New York, Toronto, and Montreal. He would often look at other landscapes while he was bored during travels and became "immersed" in the fantasies caused by looking at them. ''Outside'' uses several elements of 1980s music by acts such as Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins. ''Outside'' was the first album where Silver's vocals served as the foreground of some tracks, and features background vocal contributions from artists such as Stefanie Franciotti, Active Child, and Johan Tuvesson. CFCF (musician)
CFCF is the stage name of Canadian electronic musician/vocalist Michael Silver. Based in Montreal, Silver took the name CFCF from the call sign of the city's CFCF-TV. Silver has released five albums and several EPs. In 2015 he released two albums within two weeks: ''Radiance and Submission'' on July 31, and ''The Colours of Life'' on August 14. His most recent release is ''memoryland'' (2021). Background Originally from Montreal, Silver became interested in electronic music at an early age. Self-taught, he cites Peter Gabriel, DJ Shadow, the Yellow Magic Orchestra and Talk Talk as important influences. His first 7" single "You Hear Colours" / "Invitation to Love" was released on March 8, 2009, on the Acéphale label. Radiance And Submission
''Radiance and Submission'' is the third studio album of Canadian electronic musician Michael Silver, known by his stage name as CFCF. Silver was inspired to make ''Radiance and Submission'' from his purchase of an acoustic guitar. Therefore, the LP involves numerous guitar melodies and harmonies playing at the same time. It was released on July 31, 2015 by the label Driftless Recordings and was Silver's first ''Billboard'' entry, peaking at number eight on the magazine's American New Age Albums chart. ''Radiance and Submission'' garnered a mixed critical reception upon its distribution. Recording and concept ''Radiance and Submission'' was recorded in the winter of 2013 to 2014. The album deals with themes of isolation, which, according to Ian King of ''The Line of Best Fit'', may have been a result from how Silver felt when he produced the album in the winter. The Sensual World
''The Sensual World'' is the sixth studio album by the English art rock singer Kate Bush, released on 16 October 1989 by EMI Records. It reached No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart. It has been certified Platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) for shipments in excess of 300,000 in the United Kingdom, and Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in the United States. Production The album was recorded in Reykjavík, Iceland and produced by Valgeir Sigurðsson, who is known for his work with the Icelandic artist Björk. The arrangement was done by Nico Muhly. Joseph Will Oldham (born January 15, 1970) is an American singer-songwriter and actor. From 1993 to 1997, he performed and recorded in collaboration with dozens of other musicians under variations of Palace (Palace, Palace Flophouse, Palace Brothers, Palace Songs, and Palace Music). After briefly publishing music under his own name, in 1998 he adopted Bonnie "Prince" Billy as the name for most of his work.
