Villard-de-Lans
Villard-de-Lans (; oc, Lo Vilar de Lanç) is a Communes of France, commune in the Isère Departments of France, department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Regions of France, region in southeastern France. The town is also situated in the Vercors Massif. It was the administrative centre of the eponymous canton until the 2015 French departmental elections, departmental elections of 2015. After the elections, Villard-de-Lans and the communes of its former canton were all incorporated into the new canton of Fontaine-Vercors. The town remains the seat of the Community of Communes in the Vercors Massif (CCMV). The town is a centre for skiing in winter, as well as hiking and hot air ballooning during the other seasons. FFHG Division 2 (Fédération Française de Hockey sur Glace Division 2 or French Ice Hockey Federation Division 2) is an amateur ice hockey league in France. It is the third of four levels of national ice hockey in France. The teams that end at the bottom of the table get relegated to FFHG Division 3 while the top get promoted to FFHG Division 1. Ligue Magnus
The Ligue Magnus, currently known as Synerglace Ligue Magnus for sponsorship reasons, is the top men's division of the French ice hockey pyramid, established in 1906. The league operated under a variety of names before taking that of its championship trophy, the Magnus Cup, in 2004. The trophy was in turn named for Frenchman and IIHF founder Louis Magnus. Format 12 teams play a 44-game regular season. The schedule is fully balanced and there are no geographic conferences. Regulation wins are worth 3 points, as per international rules. The top 8 teams qualify for the Magnus Cup playoffs, with all series contested in a best-of-seven format. Derek Haas (born May 1, 1955) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey centre who played 30 games in the World Hockey Association with the Calgary Cowboys during the 1975–76 WHA season. Early life and education Haas was born in Trail, British Columbia. He played junior hockey with the Victoria Cougars during the 1973–1974 season. Corrado Micalef (born April 20, 1961) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey goaltender who played five seasons with the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League from 1981 to 1986. He later spent several years playing in Europe, retiring in 2002. Playing career Born in Montreal, Quebec, Micalef was drafted 44th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in 1981 after a standout junior career with the Sherbrooke Castors. In 1980, he won the Jacques Plante Memorial Trophy for having the lowest goals against average in the high scoring QMJHL. Jeff Lerg (born April 9, 1986) is an American former professional ice hockey goaltender who played in the North American minor league, most notably for the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL, and in Europe. Playing career Prior to his college hockey career, Lerg played for the Omaha Lancers of the USHL. He led the league in shutouts, GAA, wins, minutes played and ranked second in save percentage. Lerg broke the USHL record for wins in a season with 36 in helping lead Omaha to a share of the regular-season title. Lerg joined the Michigan State Spartans in 2005 and was named CCHA Rookie of the Year for his outstanding performance as a freshman.
