Our World With Black Enterprise
''Our World with Black Enterprise'' is a weekly television show which has been hosted by Paul Brunson, Edward Lansing Gordon III, and, during its first season, Marc Lamont Hill, which is produced by Black Enterprise The show was created by Earl G. Graves Sr. It airs on Saturday and Sunday across a range of local television stations and focuses on various issues of interest to the urban (i.e. Black) general and upwardly mobile community. The show premiered on September 30, 2006. The show received negative criticism in Israel for comments, including those by Marc Lamont Hill, for supporting Palestinians viewed as terrorists by Israel. Marc Lamont Hill
Marc Lamont Hill (born December 17, 1978) is an American academic, author, activist, and television personality. He is a professor of media studies and urban education at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Hill is the host of '' UpFront'' on Al Jazeera English. Previously he was the syndicated television show '' Our World with Black Enterprise'' and hosts the online Internet-based HuffPost Live. He is also a BET News correspondent, and a former political commentator for CNN and Fox News. Hill also hosts '' VH1 Live!'' and reunion shows for '' Basketball Wives''. In November 2018, Hill was fired from his position as a commentator for CNN after remarks before the U.N. on the Israeli–Palestinian conflict that were alleged to be antisemitic. ''Black Enterprise'' is a black-owned multimedia company. Since the 1970s, its flagship product ''Black Enterprise'' magazine has covered African-American businesses with a readership of 3.7 million. The company was founded in 1970 by Earl G. Graves Sr. It publishes in both print and on digital, an annual listing of the largest African-American companies in the country, or "B.E. 100s", first compiled and published in 1973.
