Our Lady Of Carmel Cathedral, Formosa
The Our Lady of Carmel Cathedral ( es, Catedral Nuestra Señora del Carmen) also called Formosa Cathedral is a Catholic cathedral in Formosa, Argentina. It is the seat of the Diocese of Formosa. In 1896, construction began for the new cathedral (Av. 25 de Mayo and Moreno) even though the ground had not been paid, but the owner (Manuel Martini) authorized the start of the work. In 1898, Father Gabriel Grotti blessed the new facility, as yet unfinished. In November 1954 the new Sanctuary of the Virgen del Carmen was opened. In May 1964 the remodeling of the front and the towers of the cathedral began. In 1966 the works were completed for what today is the "Cathedral of Our Lady of Mount Carmel." The cathedral was blessed by the bishop of the diocese of Formosa, Bishop Pacífico Scozzina, O.F.M. The Our Lady of Carmel Cathedral ( pt, Catedral Nossa Senhora do Carmo) Also Jaboticabal Cathedral Is located in Joaquim Batista Square, in Jaboticabal, Sao Paulo State in southern Brazil. It is a temple of the Catholic Church, the seat of the diocese of Jaboticabal and is considered the zero zone of the city. It is dedicated to the Virgin of Mount Carmel, patron saint of Jaboticabal. The old church of Our Lady of the Carmel was inaugurated in 1828, being in this chapel that the founder of the city of João Pinto Ferreira, donated its inheritance to Our Lady of the Carmen and thus was founded the city of Jaboticabal. The Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cathedral ( es, Catedral de Nuestra Señora del Carmen ) or Puntarenas Cathedral is a temple of the Roman Catholic church located in the city of Puntarenas canton of Puntarenas, in Costa Rica. Built in 1902, it has the distinction of being built with the facade to the east. It was built with stone and mortar and has brick floor. It is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Puntarenas (''Dioecesis Puntarenensis''). As its name indicates its patron saint is the Virgin Mary in her title of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (''Nuestra Señora del Monte Carmelo''). The Cathedral of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, also known as Jolo Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Jolo, Sulu and the seat of the Apostolic Vicariate of Jolo. The cathedral is located in Jolo, a volcanic island in Sulu Province of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao in the Philippines. The cathedral is dedicated to the Virgin Mary under the title Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The Cathedral of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (or Cathedral of Maturín; es, Catedral de Nuestra Señora del Carmen de Maturín) is a Catholic church located in Maturín, Monagas State, Venezuela. It is one of the largest and best decorated churches in the country, and its domes are the second highest in Latin America, preceded by the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico. Its construction began on July 16, 1959, on the day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and it was inaugurated 22 years later, on May 23, 1981.
