''Our Beautiful Days'' or ''Our Best Days'' ( arz, أيامنا الحلوة, translit. Ayyamna al-Holwa) is a 1955 Egyptian romance/musical film directed and co-written by the Egyptian film director and writer Helmy Halim. It starred Abdel Halim Hafez, Ahmed Ramzy, Omar Sharif, and Faten Hamama. In 1996, during the Egyptian Cinema centennial, this film was selected one of the best 150 Egyptian film productions. Plot Faten Hamama plays Hoda, a poor woman who leaves an orphanage to live with three young men (Ahmed, Ali, and Ramzi) in a room on a building rooftop. The three of these men fall in love with her, but she prefers Ahmed, who is played by Omar Sharif, and the others accept that and stay loyal to their friendship. When, one day, Hoda gets sick, the three men urgently work hard to gather enough money to pay for her surgery. Abdel Halim Hafez
Abdel Halim Ali Shabana ( ar, عبد الحليم علي شبانة), commonly known as Abdel Halim Hafez ( ar, عبد الحليم حافظ,) (June 21, 1929 – March 30, 1977), was an Egyptian singer, actor, conductor, businessman, music teacher and film producer. He is considered to be one of the greatest Egyptian musicians along with Umm Kulthum, Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Mohamed Fawzi, and Shadia. As his popularity grew, he was given the nickname 'el-Andaleeb el-Asmar ( ar, العندليب الأسمر), meaning ''The Dark-Skinned Nightingale''. To date, he has sold over 80 million records. Zahrat El-Ola
Zahrat El-Ola (10 June 1934 – 18 December 2013) was an Egyptian actress, and was the second wife of Salah Zulfikar. She was famous for her roles in light comedies and drama in the 1950s and 1960s. She is one of the iconic actresses in Egypt. El-Ola was prolific in golden age of Egyptian cinema. Her first appearance in film was in Mahmoud Zulfikar's ''My Father Deceived Me'' (1951), and her last film was ''Ard Ard'' (1998). Career After obtaining a diploma from the Institute of Dramatic Arts, she moved with her family to Mahalla al-Kubra and then to Cairo where she was apprenticed by Youssef Wahbi and worked in his theater, then went to work in the cinema.
