Oumar Kalabane
Oumar Kalabane (born 8 April 1981) is a Guinean former professional footballer who played as a defender. He played for the Guinea national team between 2000 and 2013. Club career Born in Conakry, Kalabane started his career with Hirondelles de Conakry in his native Guinea, before moving to Étoile de Guinée and then Étoile Sahel of Tunisia in 2000. After five years there, Kalabane was signed by AJ Auxerre of Ligue 1 where he spent two seasons, appearing in 20 league matches. He also played three seasons in the Turkish Süper Lig with Manisaspor. On 19 July 2012, Gabala FC announced the signing of Kalabane on a two-year contract. He made his debut for Gabala on 4 August 2012 in a 1–1 draw against Simurq. The Guinea national football team ( French: '' Équipe de football du Guinée'') represents Guinea in men's international football and it is controlled by the Guinean Football Federation. They have never qualified for the FIFA World Cup finals, and their best finish in the Africa Cup of Nations was runners-up in 1976. Sumgayit FK ( az, "Sumqayıt" futbol klubu, ) is an Azerbaijani football club based in Sumgayit that plays in the Azerbaijan Premier League. History The club was founded in 2010 as Sumgayit FK. In May 2011, the team secured their promotion to Azerbaijan Premier League after getting wildcard place instead of defunct Absheron. After securing promotion to the Premier League, the club based most of their squad on players from Azerbaijan's U-19 and U-17 players. The 2007–08 Süper Lig season, (also known as the Turkcell Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons), was the 50th anniversary of top-flight professional football in Turkey. It was won by Galatasaray, who won their 17th championship. The 2006–07 Süper Lig was the 49th edition of the top-flight professional football league in Turkey. The season began on 4 August 2006 with a match between Ankaraspor and Galatasaray, resulting in a 1–1 draw. Fenerbahçe became champions after drawing Trabzonspor 2–2, while Beşiktaş lost 3–0 to Bursaspor and Galatasaray drew 1–1 with Sivasspor. The 2008 Africa Cup of Nations, also known as the MTN Africa Cup of Nations due to the competition's sponsorship by MTN, was the 26th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the biennial football tournament for nations affiliated to the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
