Otoyol 51 ( en, Motorway 51), abbreviated as O-51, aka Adana-Erdemli Otoyolu ( en, Adana-Erdemli Motorway), is a toll motorway in the Mediterranean Region of Turkey Turkey ( tr, Türkiye ), officially the Republic of Türkiye ( tr, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti, links=no ), is a list of transcontinental countries, transcontinental country located mainly on the Anatolia, Anatolian Peninsula in Western Asia, with ..., connecting the cities Adana and Mersin. The motorway is on its full length of part of international routes as of International E-road network, European routes European route E90, E90 and E982 and Asian Highway 84. The motorway starts from the western terminus of O-52 in Central Adana, runs westward reaching the south terminus of Pozantı-Adana Motorway Otoyol 21, O-21 northeast of Tarsus, Mersin, Tarsus, continues southwest to Mersin bypassing it at north and terminates in Erdemli. Seyhan
Seyhan is a district-municipality in the Adana Province of Turkey, core of the Adana urban area. Seyhan is home to 35 percent of the residents of Adana Province and almost half of the residents of the city of Adana. It is the fifth most populous metropolitan district in Turkey. Seyhan is the first settlement area of Adana and currently the administrative, business and cultural center of the city. It includes the historical neighborhood of Tepebağ, and the landmarks such as Büyüksaat, Ulu Camii, Ramazanoğlu Hall and Sabancı Merkez Camii. Adana Center for Arts and Culture, Sabancı Cultural Center, Seyhan Cultural Center and Metropolitan Theatre are also located in the district. The district gets its name from the river that forms the east border.
