Otherkin (band)
Otherkin were an Irish garage rock band from Dublin active between 2014 and 2019. Noted for their "incendiary" live shows, they supported Guns N' Roses at Slane Castle in 2017. Career Otherkin were founded in 2014; they cited The Clash, Queens of the Stone Age, The Ramones and Blur (band), Blur as influences. Their first album, ''OK'', was released in 2017; it was nominated for the Choice Music Prize. They broke up in 2019. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". Rubyworks Records is an independent record label and music management company created in 2001 by Niall Muckian and based in Dublin, Ireland. Rubyworks owns two subsidiary labels, Gotta Run Records and Model Citizen Records. In May 2012 Rubyworks merged with UK independent record label Ark Recordings. Slane Castle
Slane Castle (Irish ''Cáisleán Bhaile Shláine'') is located in the village of Slane, within the Boyne Valley of County Meath, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The castle has been the family seat of the Marquess Conyngham, Conyngham family since it was built in the late 18th century, on land first purchased in 1703 by Henry Conyngham (soldier), Brig.-Gen. The Clash
The Clash were an English rock band formed in London in 1976 who were key players in the original wave of British punk rock. Billed as "The Only Band That Matters", they also contributed to the and new wave movements that emerged in the wake of punk and employed elements of a variety of genres including reggae, dub, funk, ska, and rockabilly. For most of their recording career, the Clash consisted of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Joe Strummer, lead guitarist and vocalist Mick Jones, bassist Paul Simonon, and drummer Nicky "Topper" Headon. Headon left the group in 1982 due to internal friction surrounding his increasing heroin addiction. Further internal friction led to Jones' departure the following year. Queens of the Stone Age (commonly abbreviated QOTSA) is an American rock band formed in 1996 in Palm Desert, California. The Ramones
The Ramones were an American punk rock band that formed in the New York City neighborhood of Forest Hills, Queens, in 1974. They are often cited as the first true punk rock group. Despite achieving a limited commercial appeal in the United States during their time together, the band saw more success in England and Brazil, and are today seen as highly influential. Blur (band)
Blur are an English rock band formed in London in 1988. The band consists of singer Damon Albarn, guitarist Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree. Their debut album, ''Leisure'' (1991), incorporated the sounds of Madchester and shoegazing.
