''Other Men'' ( it, Altri uomini) is a 1997 Italian crime drama film written and directed by Claudio Bonivento. It is based on real-life characters documented in the Antonio Carlucci and Paolo Rossetti's book ''Io il Tebano'' ("I, the Theban"). For his performance Claudio Amendola received a Nastro d'Argento nomination for best actor. Claudio Bonivento
Claudio Bonivento (born 14 November 1950) is an Italian film producer, director, and screenwriter. Life and career Born in Faggeto Lario, Como, Bonivento began his career as a theatrical organizer, an agent and a record producer. In the late 1970s he started working as a film, television and stage producer. In 1997 he made his directorial debut with ''Other Men''. In 1989 Bonivento won the Nastro d'Argento for Best Producer for Marco Risi's ''Forever Mery''. He also won three David di Donatello for Best Producer in 1991, 1993 and 2011, respectively for ''Boys on the Outside'', '' The Escort'' and '' 20 sigarette''. ''la Repubblica'' (; the Republic) is an Italian daily general-interest newspaper. Tony Sperandeo (born 8 May 1953) is an Italian actor of cinema and television. Sperandeo is notable for frequently playing the roles of tough characters from his native region, Sicily. As of 2011, he was working on ''La Nuova Squadra'', a police drama televised by Rai Tre, as the Superintendent Salvatore Sciacca. Career He was born Gaetano Sperandeo in Palermo. Veronica Pivetti (born 19 February 1965) is an Italian actress and voice actress. Life and career Born in Milan, Pivetti is the daughter of Grazia Gabrielli, a voice actress and of Paolo Pivetti, a stage director. She is the younger sister of the politician Irene Pivetti. Ennio Fantastichini
Ennio Fantastichini (20 February 1955 – 1 December 2018) was an Italian actor. Life and career Born in Gallese, province of Viterbo, Fantastichini studied acting at the Accademia Nazionale di Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico. His breakout role was Tommaso Scalia in Gianni Amelio's '' Open Doors'', a role that gave him a Nastro d'Argento, a Ciak d'oro and a special European Film Award as European Discovery of the Year. In 2010, for his performance in Ferzan Özpetek's '' Loose Cannons'', he won a David di Donatello for best supporting actor and a second Nastro d'Argento in the same category. Fantastichini died of acute promyelocytic leukemia in Naples on 1 December 2018, at the age of 63.
