Osun Health Insurance Scheme (O'HIS) established by the Osun State government in Nigeria to improve the life of the people of the state at a more minimal rate, it was created to help the people have easy access to Health Care management/Insurance. Osun Health Insurance Scheme was designed to provide affordable, flexible and accessible health care serve to the people of Osun state especially the aged. Historical background In 2017, Osun State government set up its health insurance scheme with a commitment to making the insurance scheme operational to serve its citizens. As mandated by state government law, the government also committed to provide a "take-off grant" to kickstart it and commence a statutory 1.5 percent reduction of actual payment from staff salaries and a 3 percent subsidy contribution by the state government. Osogbo
Osogbo (also ''Oṣogbo'', rarely ''Oshogbo'') is a city in Nigeria. It became the capital city of Osun State in 1991. Osogbo city seats the Headquarters of both Osogbo Local Government Area (situated at Oke Baale Area of the city) and Olorunda Local Government Area (situated at Igbonna Area of the city). Isaac Folorunso Adewole (born 5 May 1954) is a Nigerian professor of gynaecology and obstetrics. He was minister of health of Nigeria from November 2015 to May 2019 under the Cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari. Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola (born 29 September 1954) is a Nigerian politician who served as Governor of Osun State from 2018 to 2022. Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola (born 25 May 1957) is a Nigerian politician who is the current Minister of the Federal Ministry of Interior of Nigeria. Before that, he served as the fourth civilian governor of Osun State. He is a native of Ilesa in Osun State.
