Osuga (Vazuza)
The Osuga () is a river in Oleninsky, Rzhevsky, and Zubtsovsky Districts of Tver Oblast and in Sychyovsky District of Smolensk Oblast of Russia, a left tributary of the Vazuza (technically, of Vazuza Reservoir) in the basin of the Volga. The Osuga is long, and the area of its drainage basin is . Vazuza
The Vazuza (russian: Вазу́за), a river in the Novoduginsky and Sychyovsky districts of Smolensk Oblast and in the Zubtsovsky District of Tver Oblast, Russia, becomes a right tributary of the Volga. It is long, and its drainage basin covers . Soviet engineers flooded the lower part of the river to form the Vazuza Reservoir. The towns of Sychyovka and Zubtsov are located on the banks the Vazuza (the latter at its confluence with the Volga). The main tributaries of the Vazuza are the Kasnya, the Gzhat (both right), the Losmina and the Osuga (left). The source of the Vazuza is located east of the village of Lukino in Novoduginsky District. The river flows north, crosses into Sychyovsky District, and downstream of the town of Sychyovka turns east. Olenino, Tver Oblast
Olenino (russian: Оле́нино) is an urban locality (an urban-type settlement) and the administrative center of Oleninsky District of Tver Oblast, Russia, located southwest of Tver on the federal "Baltic" highway (Moscow–Riga). Population: History Olenino was founded on October 22 (October 9 Old Style) 1898 as a settlement serving the railway station. At the time, it belonged to Rzhevsky Uyezd of Tver Governorate. On 12 July 1929, governorates and uyezds were abolished, and Oleninsky District with the administrative center in the settlement of Olenino was established. It belonged to Rzhev Okrug of Western Oblast. On August 1, 1930 the okrugs were abolished, and the districts were subordinated directly to the oblast. Vazuza Reservoir
The Vazuza Reservoir (russian: Вазузское водохранилище) is a reservoir based on the lower channel of the Vazuza River, in Tver Oblast and Smolensk Oblast, Russia. It was filled in 1977–1978. The dam is between the Pashutino and Chaika villages, Zubtsovsky District, Tver Oblast. 4.7 km abone the dam the reservoir is split into two branches: the left one (27.8 km) is along Vazuza, the left one (16.5) is along its tributary, Osuga River. The Vazuza branch branches further, adding tributaries of Kasnya and Gzhat, and connecting with Yauza River via the Vazuza-Yauza Canal. Tvertsa
The Tvertsa () is a river in Vyshnevolotsky, Spirovsky, Torzhoksky, and Kalininsky Districts, as well as in the cities of Torzhok and Tver in Tver Oblast, Russia, a left tributary of the Volga. It is long, and the area of its basin . The principal tributaries of the Tvertsa are the Malaya Tigma (left), the Shchegrinka (right), the Osuga (right), the Logovyazh (left), and the Kava (left). Sychyovsky District
Sychyovsky District (russian: Сычёвский райо́н) is an administrativeResolution #261 and municipalLaw #106-z district (raion), one of the twenty-five in Smolensk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northeast of the oblast. The area of the district is . Its administrative center is the town of Sychyovka.
