Oso Oso
Oso Oso is an American rock band from Long Beach, New York. Jade Lilitri (vocals, guitar), formerly oState Lines is the only permanent member. The last name Lilitri is a pen name. The band has released three studio albums and two EPs. Their 2019 release, ''Basking in the Glow'' and their 2022 release, '' Sore Thumb'' were named "Best New Music" by online music magazine Pitchfork. History Originally named ''osoosooso'', the band began as a side-project EP released through Soft Speak Records. Soon after, Lilitri decided to expand upon the project and shorten its name, citing misspelled tour flyers as one reason for the change. That same year, Oso Oso released a split with emo band Free Throw. Taking Back Sunday is an American rock band from Long Island, New York. The band was formed by guitarist Eddie Reyes and bassist Jesse Lacey in 1999. The band's members currently are Adam Lazzara (lead vocals), John Nolan (lead guitar, keyboards, vocals), Shaun Cooper (bass guitar) and Mark O'Connell (drums), accompanied by Nathan Cogan (guitar) for their live performances. The band's former members include Lacey, Reyes, bass guitarist Matthew Rubano, and guitarist and vocalist Fred Mascherino. Lacey quit Taking Back Sunday in 1999 and formed the critically acclaimed rock band Brand New in 2000, with whom Taking Back Sunday would become embroiled in a highly publicized feud. Death Cab for Cutie is an American rock band formed in Bellingham, Washington, in 1997. The Cars
The Cars were an American rock band formed in Boston in 1976. Emerging from the new wave scene in the late 1970s, they consisted of Ric Ocasek ( rhythm guitar), Benjamin Orr (bass guitar), Elliot Easton (lead guitar), Greg Hawkes (keyboards), and David Robinson ( drums). Ocasek and Orr shared lead vocals, and Ocasek was the band's principal songwriter and leader. The Cars were at the forefront of the merger of 1970s guitar-oriented rock with the new synthesizer-oriented pop that became popular in the early 1980s. Archers of Loaf is an American indie rock band originally formed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in 1991. Paramore
Paramore is an American rock band from Franklin, Tennessee, formed in 2004. The band currently consists of lead vocalist Hayley Williams, guitarist Taylor York and drummer Zac Farro. Williams and Farro are founding members of the group, while York, a high school friend of the original lineup, joined in 2007. The band is signed to Fueled by Ramen, a subsidiary of Atlantic Records, both owned by Warner Music Group. Williams was separately signed to Atlantic as she was scouted when she was a teenager, and they were the only label to let her stay in the band instead of going solo, but Atlantic said the rest of the band had to sign to Fueled by Ramen. ''Where You Want to Be'' is the second studio album by American rock band Taking Back Sunday. While touring to promote ''Tell All Your Friends'' (2002), guitarist John Nolan and bassist Shaun Cooper left the group and were replaced by Fred Mascherino and Matt Rubano, respectively. After a co-headlining tour with Saves the Day in fall 2003, the band began working on ''Where You Want to Be''. Dismissive of several early songs, they wanted to "grow musically with this ew album" In March 2004 recording of ''Where You Want to Be'' began, with Lou Giordano as producer. The band recorded at Mission Sound in Brooklyn, New York for two weeks before moving to Water Music in Hoboken, New Jersey, finishing recording by April.
