Özdemiroğlu Osman Pasha
Özdemiroğlu Osman Pasha ( ota, اوزدمیر اوغلی عثمان‌ پاشا, lit=Osman Pasha, the son of Özdemir; 1526 – 29 October 1585) was an Ottoman statesman and military commander who also held the office of grand vizier for one year. Origin After the Ottoman conquest of Egypt in 1517, the former Egyptian soldier had accepted the Ottoman dominance and became part of Ottoman bureaucracy and military. After the Ottoman naval expeditions in the Indian Ocean, he was appointed as the beylerbey (high governor) of Habesh Eyalet (modern Ethiopia, but actually only the coastal strip of Eritrea and Sudan). Osman was born in 1526 in Cairo, a part of Egypt Eyalet (province) of the Ottoman Empire. Early years Osman was appointed to various posts in Egypt by the porte. Bosniak Osman Pasha
Osman-pasha the Bosnian ( tr, Boşnak Osman Paşa; died 1 August 1685) or the Herzegovinian ( tr, links=no, Hersekli Osman Paşa), known as Osman-paša Kazanac, was an Ottoman statesman who served as the governor of the Damascus Eyalet (1676–1678, 1683), of Anatolia Eyalet (1678–1680), of Egypt Eyalet (1680–1683), of Diyarbekir Eyalet (1683), of Bosnia Eyalet (1684), and of Eğri Eyalet (1685). His byname suggests that he hailed from the Sanjak of Bosnia or the Sanjak of Herzegovina. While governor of the Eğri Eyalet ( en, Eger) during the Great Turkish War, he was caught outside of the walls of the Castle of Eger when the Austrians began their siege, dying on August 1, 1685. Topal Osman Pasha
Topal Osman Pasha (1663–1733) was an Ottoman military officer and administrator. A capable man, he rose to the rank of ''beylerbey'' by the age of 24 and served as general against the Venetians and the Habsburg monarchy and as governor in several provinces. His career eventually brought his appointment to the position of Grand Vizier in 1731–32. After his dismissal, he was sent to a provincial governorship, but was soon recalled to lead the Ottoman troops in the Ottoman–Persian War of 1730–35. He succeeded in defeating Nader Shah and saving Baghdad in 1732, but clashed with Nader for a second time the next year and was decisively beaten in the Battle of Kirkuk (1733), in which he lost his life.
