Oslo (club)
Oslo is a discothèque, bar and food venue located in Hackney Central, East London. It is the first club to open in that area of Hackney. Notable musicians that played in it since 2014 opening are Marina and the Diamonds, Klaxons, Sky Ferreira and others. Oslo Hackney, the club's bookings are run by Conrad Rogan. DJs that have played in the venue include AJ Odudu, Frederick Macpherson, Billie JD Porter, George Craig (musician), George Craig and Jack Peñate. Jessie J performed an exclusive concert on her birthday on March 27, 2014. The Coathangers
The Coathangers are an American all-female punk rock/garage band band from Atlanta, Georgia featuring singer/guitarist Julia Kugel-Montoya (Crook Kid Coathanger), bassist Meredith Franco (Minnie Coathanger) and singer/drummer Stephanie Luke (Rusty Coathanger). Formed in 2006, the band chose the name "Coathangers" which refers to a dangerous method of self-induced abortion; all of the band's members are pro-choice. Long-time keyboardist Candice Jones (Bebe Coathanger), left the band amicably in 2013. The band was asked to open for the Hiss on the strength of their performance playing a house show. Hackney Central Railway Station
Hackney Central is a London Overground station on the North London line in Hackney Central, Greater London. It lies between and and is in Travelcard Zone 2. The station and all trains serving it are operated by National Rail services under the control of the London Rail division of Transport for London. However, there is no standard red National Rail "double arrow" logo signage at the station, instead only the Overground roundel. The station is connected to by a direct passenger walkway linking the two stations (replacing an earlier such link) that was opened in July 2015. This walkway means passengers do not have to exit on to the street in order to continue their onward journey. Hackney Central is a sub-district of Hackney in the London Borough of Hackney in London, England and is four miles (6.4 km) northeast of Charing Cross. The Hackney Central area is focused on Mare Street and the retail areas to the north of it including Narrow Way and surrounding local area around Hackney Downs railway station. As such it extends north from Regent's Canal (with Bethnal Green), takes in most of Broadway Market and London Fields, and follows each side of Mare Street till it terminates in the vicinity of Hackney Central railway station. Marina Lambrini Diamandis (; el, Μαρίνα-Λαμπρινή Διαμάντη; born 10 October 1985), known mononymously as Marina (often stylised in all caps), and previously by the stage name Marina and the Diamonds, is a Welsh singer and songwriter. Born in Brynmawr to a Welsh mother and Greek father, Diamandis was raised in Abergavenny and moved to London as a teenager to become a professional singer, despite having little formal musical experience. Klaxons
Klaxons were an English rock band, based in London. Following the release of several 7-inch singles on different independent record labels, as well as the success of previous singles " Magick" and " Golden Skans", the band released their debut album, '' Myths of the Near Future'' on 29 January 2007. The album won the 2007 Nationwide Mercury Prize. After playing festivals and headlining tours worldwide (including the NME Indie Rave Tour) during late 2006–07, the band started working on their follow-up album in July 2007. Sky Tonia Ferreira (born July 8, 1992) is an American singer, songwriter, model, and actress. As a teenager, Ferreira began uploading videos on Myspace of herself singing songs she had written, which led to her discovery by producers Bloodshy & Avant and a recording contract with Parlophone in 2009. Onatejiro "AJ" Odudu (born 12 February 1988) is a British television presenter from Blackburn, UK. She is best known for co-presenting the 2013 Channel 5 reality show spin-off ''Big Brother's Bit on the Side'', alongside Emma Willis and Rylan Clark and the 2021 Channel 4 reality show spin off '' Married at First Sight: Afters''. George Craig (musician)
George Craig (born 11 July 1990) is the English lead singer of the British band One Night Only, and a model for Burberry. Music George Craig joined One Night Only in 2003. The band had their first top ten hit with " Just For Tonight" in 2008 and shortly after released their first album, ''Started a Fire''. The next single off the album was "It's About Time", which peaked in the UK Singles Chart at number 37 and remained in the chart for one week. July 2008 saw the re-release of " You and Me" which failed to reach the top 40. The band then took time off to record, during this time they announced the departure of their drummer Sam Ford and that his replacement would be George's brother James. Jack Peñate
Jack Peñate (; born 2 September 1984) is an English singer, songwriter, and musician. Early life Peñate was born in London on 2 September 1984, the son of an English mother and Spanish father. His maternal grandfather was author Mervyn Peake. He attended St. Olave's Preparatory School in New Eltham and Alleyn's School in Dulwich, then began studying for a bachelor's degree in Ancient World Studies at University College London, but dropped out at the end of the second year as interest from record labels grew.
