Oscar José Zamora Sosa is a former professional baseball player. A right-handed pitcher, he played all or part of four seasons in Major League Baseball, playing for the Chicago Cubs during 1974–76, and the Houston Astros in 1978. In his career, he had 13 wins against 14 losses, and an earned run average of 4.53. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk.
