Oscar Wood
Gordon Oscar Wood (born June 21, 1975) is an amateur American wrestler, who competed in the Greco-Roman welterweight category. He was a two-time NCAA All-American for the Oregon State Beavers (1996–1999), and also represented the United States at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Serving as a staff sergeant of the United States Army in Fort Carson, Colorado, Wood also trained full time for the army's wrestling club. Career Early years Wood attended Sam Barlow High School in Gresham, Oregon, in the Portland metropolitan area. There, he won three state wrestling titles, with his only defeat as a freshman in the state final. He also collected four freestyle and four Greco-Roman state titles in high school. Milwaukie is a city mostly in Clackamas County, Oregon, United States; a very small portion of the city extends into Multnomah County. The population was 20,291 at the 2010 census. Founded in 1847 on the banks of the Willamette River, the city, known as the Dogwood City of the West, was incorporated in 1903 and is the birthplace of the Bing cherry. Mkhitar Manukyan
Mkhitar Manukyan ( hy, Մխիթար Մանուկյան, born 20 September 1973) is a retired Armenian- Kazakh Greco-Roman wrestler. He competed at the 1996, 2000 and 2004 Olympics and won a bronze medal in 2004. He also won a world title in 1998 and 1999 and an Asian title in 1997 and 1999. Biography Mkhitar Manukyan was born 20 September 1973 in Leninakan (now Gyumri), Armenia. He took up Greco-Roman wrestling at the age of ten. Manukyan lost both of his parents and a sister in the 1988 Armenian earthquake. According to him, this tragedy helped him in wrestling. He became a junior world champion twice in 1990 and 1991. From 1993 to 1996, Manukyan was a member of the Armenia national Greco-Roman wrestling team. Jannis Zamanduridis (born March 18, 1966, in Chemnitz, East Germany) is a retired amateur German Greco-Roman wrestler, who competed in the men's welterweight category. Considered as one of Germany's most promising wrestlers in his decade, Zamanduridis has claimed two medals (one silver and one bronze) in the 68-kg division at the World Championships (1990 and 1995), but took an early hiatus shortly to focus on his coaching staff for the German wrestling team. In 2003, Zamanduridis suddenly came out of his impending retirement to compete for Germany at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Konstantinos "Kostas" Arkoudeas ( gr, Κωνσταντίνος Αρκουδέας; born 31 March 1973) is a retired welterweight Greco-Roman wrestler from Greece. He won a silver medal in the 62 kg division at the 1993 Mediterranean Games and placed ninth and sixth at the 1992 and 2004 Olympics, respectively.
