Oscar Marín
} Oscar Marín Parra FMedSci Fellow of the Royal Society, FRS (born 31 March 1971) is a Spanish and British neuroscientist. He is married to neuroscientist Beatriz Rico (neuroscientist), Beatriz Rico. Education Oscar Marín was born in Madrid and received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Complutense University of Madrid, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and later his PhD in neuroscience. He then undertook postdoctoral training with M. Angela Nieto at the Cajal Institute, Instituto Cajal and John L. Rubenstein and Marc Tessier-Lavigne at the University of California, San Francisco, University of California in San Francisco. Research and career Before being appointed Professor of Neuroscience at King's College London in 2014, Marín started his career at the Instituto de Neurociencias in Alicante (Spain) between 2003 and 2014. Oscar Marin
Oscar Marin (born December 5, 1982) is an American professional baseball Coach (baseball), coach. He is the pitching coach for the Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has also coached in MLB for the Texas Rangers (baseball), Texas Rangers. Playing career Marin graduated from Chatsworth High School in Chatsworth, California. Marin played for Los Angeles Valley College for two seasons (2001–2002). He then pitched for two seasons (2003–2004) at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock. Coaching career Amateur/Minor leagues Marin started his coaching career in 2005 as an assistant coach for the University of Arkansas-Little Rock baseball team. In 2006 and 2007, he was the pitching coach at Los Angeles Valley College. Marin spent 2008 and 2009 as the pitching coach at Harvard-Westlake High School in North Hollywood, California.
