Oscar B. Jackson Jr.
Oscar B. Jackson Jr. (born July 9, 1947) is an American civil servant from the state of Oklahoma. Jackson was the last Oklahoma Secretary of Human Resources and Administration, having served in that position from when he was appointed by Governor of Oklahoma David Walters in 1991 until the office was abolished in 2012. With over twenty years of continuous service, Jackson is the longest serving Cabinet Secretary in State history. Jackson served under three different Governors spanning both political parties: Democrat David Walters, Republican Frank Keating, Democrat Brad Henry, and Republican Governor Mary Fallin. In addition to his service as Human Resources and Administration Secretary, Jackson served concurrently as the Administrator of the Oklahoma Office of Personnel Management until that position was abolished in 2011. Oklahoma State Cabinet
The Cabinet of the governor of Oklahoma is a body of the most senior appointed officials of the executive branch of the government of Oklahoma. Originally an informal meeting between the governor of Oklahoma and various government officials, the Governor's Cabinet has evolved into an important information link between the governor and the various agencies, boards and commissions that operate within state government. Cabinet officers are appointed by the governor, subject to confirmation by the Oklahoma Senate. Once confirmed, all members of the Cabinet receive the title "Secretary" and serve at the pleasure of the governor. Colonel Norman A. Lamb, USA (ret.), (February 27, 1935 – January 5, 2018) was an American soldier and politician from Enid in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. Lamb served as the Oklahoma Secretary of Veterans Affairs from 1995 to 2011, having been originally appointed by Governor of Oklahoma Frank Keating and retained under Governor Brad Henry. Howard Hendrick
Howard Hendrick (born December 22, 1954) is a Republican politician from the U.S. state of Oklahoma. Hendrick was serving as the Oklahoma Secretary of Human Services, having been appointed by Democratic Governor of Oklahoma Brad Henry in 2003. Hendrick had previously served as the Oklahoma Secretary of Health and Human Services under former Republican Governor Frank Keating until that post was split into two positions under Henry. Concurrent with his service as Secretary, Hendrick has served as the Director of Oklahoma Department of Human Services since July 1, 1998. David Walters
David Lee Walters (born November 20, 1951) is an American politician who was the 24th governor of Oklahoma from 1991 to 1995. Born in Canute, Oklahoma, Walters was a project manager for Governor David Boren and the youngest executive officer working for the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He also worked in commercial real estate. As governor, he increased education funding, but his term was marred by controversies that ended with him pleading guilty to a misdemeanor election violation.
