Oscar Alsenfelt
Oscar Alsenfelt (born June 24, 1987) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey goaltender, who is currently the sporting director of the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL). Playing career Alsenfelt had a major breakthrough in the 2011 Kvalserien, with the Växjö Lakers. Showing impressive goaltending, he drew attention to hockey experts only after the first two games, despite the fact that these two games were played against familiar teams from the HockeyAllsvenskan. Alsenfelt continued to play for the team in the 2011 Kvalserien's following six rounds, and he became a significant contributor to the team's promotion to the Swedish Hockey League. With a save percentage of .954 in 8 games, he won the 2011 Kvalserien's goaltending league. Alsenfelt, however, did not make his debut game in the top Swedish league until September 27, 2011, when the Lakers won 4–2 at home against Modo Hockey. Modo Hockey
Modo Hockey (or MoDo with uppercase letters) is a professional ice hockey club in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. The team plays in Sweden's second-tier league HockeyAllsvenskan. The club was founded in 1987 and has won one SHL championships; in 2007. The team's home arena since 2006 is the Hägglunds Arena (previously known as ''Fjällräven Center'' and ''Swedbank Arena''). Before then, the team played at Kempehallen, beginning in 1964. 2013 Kvalserien
The 2013 Kvalserien was the 39th Kvalserien, consisting of two Elitserien (SHL) teams and four HockeyAllsvenskan teams. It began on 14 March 2013 and ended on 5 April 2013. The 2013 Kvalserien determined which two teams of the participating ones would play in the 2013–14 SHL season and which four teams would play in the 2013–14 HockeyAllsvenskan season. For the first time since 2006, neither of the two Elitserien teams – Timrå IK and Rögle BK – managed to defend their spot in the top-tier league. Instead, HockeyAllsvenskan teams Örebro HK and Leksands IF took the two available spots for the 2013–14 SHL season. Goals Against Average
Goals against average (GAA) also known as "average goals against" or "AGA" is a statistic used in field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, and water polo that is the mean of goals allowed per game by a goaltender or goalkeeper (depending on sport). GAA is analogous to a baseball pitcher's earned run average (ERA). In Japanese, the same translation (防御率) is used for both GAA and ERA, because of this. For ice hockey, the goals against average statistic is the number of goals a goaltender allows per 60 minutes of playing time. It is calculated by taking the number of goals against, multiply that by 60 (minutes) and then dividing by the number of minutes played. The modification is used by the NHL since 1965 and the IIHF since 1990. When calculating GAA, overtime goals and time on ice are included, whereas empty net and shootout goals are not. Save percentage (often known by such symbols as SV%, SVS%, SVP, PCT) is a statistic in various goal-scoring sports that track saves as a statistic. In ice hockey and lacrosse, it is a statistic that represents the percentage of shots on goal a goaltender stops. It is calculated by dividing the number of saves by the total number of shots on goal. Although the statistic is called a "percentage", it is often given as a decimal, in the same way as a batting average in baseball. Thus, .933 means a goaltender saved 93.3 percent of all shots they faced. In international ice hockey, a save percentage is expressed as a true percentage, such as 90%. National Hockey League (NHL) goaltenders typically have a save percentage above .900, and National Lacrosse League (NLL) goaltenders typically have a save percentage above .750. Swedish Hockey League
The Swedish Hockey League (officially SHL; sv, Svenska Hockeyligan) is a professional ice hockey league, and the highest division in the Swedish ice hockey system. The league currently consists of 14 teams. The league was founded in 1975, and while Swedish ice hockey champions have been crowned through various formats since 1922, the title and the Le Mat Trophy have been awarded to the winner of the SHL playoffs since the league's inaugural 1975–76 season. In the 2010–11 season, the SHL was the world's most evenly matched professional ice hockey league.
