Ortaköy S.K.
Ortaköy Spor Kulübü (OSK) was first formed in the 20th century, under a different name –“Ortaköy Idman Yurdu”, when a group of people at the Ortaköy decided to form football, ping pong, athletics and swimming teams. The club’s formal colours were orange and black. After 1910, the club played under the name of “Ortaköy Gençlik Kulübü”. Soon after, the club continued playing in friendlies and local cup competitions for the next years. In 1930s the club turned professional and changed its name to “Ortaköy Spor Kulübü”, finally joining the football and basketball leagues. The basketball section of the club began in 1954, and since then there have been plenty of ups and downs, including the national 1st division. Ortaköy
Ortaköy ( ''Middle Village)'' is a neighbourhood within the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul, Turkey, on the European shore of the Bosphorus. it was originally a small fishing village, known in Greek as Agios Fokas (Άγιος Φωκάς) in the Byzantine period and then as Mesachorion (Μεσαχώριον, meaning 'Middle Village'). During the Ottoman era and into the first decades of the Turkish Republic, Ortaköy was a cosmopolitan place with communities of Turks, Greeks, Armenians and Jews. Today although the neighbourhood still retains a Jewish synagogue and Greek Orthodox church, it is almost entirely Turkish and Muslim. It is a popular tourist area, with small art galleries, expensive nightclubs, cafés, bars, and restaurants. Turkish Regional Amateur League
The Turkish Regional Amateur League ( tr, Bölgesel Amatör Ligi) is the fifth tier of the Turkish football league system. The tier comprises a number (usually 11-13, varies by season) of groups across Turkey, each consisting of teams grouped according to the regions in which they are based. Every season, 9 teams are promoted to the TFF Third League while the bottom two teams of each group are relegated to the Super Amateur Leagues of their respective provinces. League status Turkish Regional Amateur League contains 149 teams which participate in eleven groups. 1 of these groups contains 12 teams, 3 of these groups contain 13 teams and the remaining 7 groups contain 14 teams. At the end of the season 9 teams will be promoted to TFF Third League. These teams will be determined by a play-off which will be played between 26 teams who finish groups in top two.
