Orr Barouch ( he, אור ברוך; born 29 November 1991) is an Israeli footballer who currently plays for Cal FC. Career Early life and career Barouch is Jewish, and was born in Haifa, Israel. He moved to the United States with his parents as a child. He grew up in Woodland Hills, California, attended El Camino Real High School and played in the youth ranks of Chivas USA. During the summer of 2009, Barouch was one of the athletes selected to tour Europe with the SuperElite Discover Europe team of top youth soccer players based in America. While with Chivas he drew the interest of Belgian side Club Brugge. However, in 2009 he elected to sign with Mexico’s Tigres de la UANL. While with the Monterrey-based club, Barouch appeared in 24 youth team matches, scoring one goal, primarily as a left winger, and helped Tigres to a first-place finish in the Mexican U-20 Apertura tournament, but he never played for senior Tigres team. Chivas USA (pronounced ''CHEE-vahs'') was an American professional soccer team based in the Los Angeles suburb of Carson, California. The club played from 2005 to 2014 in Major League Soccer (MLS) and was a subsidiary of Mexican club C.D. Guadalajara, sharing common ownership and branding. David "Dedi" Ben Dayan ( he, דוד "דדי" בן דיין; born November 22, 1978) is a retired Israeli football defender. Biography Playing career Ben Dayan started his career at Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he saw limited action over the span of 5 seasons. After a break out 2000–01 season, Ben Dayan was called up to the Israel national football team by then manager, Richard Møller Nielsen, for a friendly against Hungary. His most successful club season though was in 2001–02 when he started and helped the club win the Israel State Cup having not played a single fixture in the club's previous cup title. Guy Melamed ( he, גיא מלמד; born September 12, 1979 in Haifa) is a retired Israeli soccer Defender (association football), defender. Melamed went to the United States to play college soccer at Boston College, and was a four-year starter for the Eagles. He was named All-Big East Conference (1979–2013), Big East his last three years in school. However, his status as a senior international turned off many MLS teams, and he slipped to the fourth round of the 2005 MLS SuperDraft, where he was taken by the Colorado Rapids with the 43rd pick. Subsequently, Melamed became the first Israeli to play in MLS. Melamed was released, by his request, in September 2005.
