Teuvo Tulio
Theodor Antonius Tugai (23 August 1912 – 8 June 2000), better known as Teuvo Tulio, was a Finnish film director and actor. Beginning his career as an actor at the end of the silent film, silent era, Tulio turned to directing and producing in the 1930s. His films are noted for their extremely melodramatic style. Biography Tulio was born as Theodor Antonius Tugai to a Turkish people, Turkish-Polish people, Polish father named Aleksander Tugai and a Persian people, Persian-Latvian people, Latvian mother named Helena Garschin in Rēzekne, in the Vitebsk Governorate of the Russian Empire (present-day Latvia). His mother was an 18-year-old aspiring ballerina when he was born. His parents' marriage was brief, and he spent the early part of his childhood in rural Latvia with his grandparents while his mother pursued a career as a ballerina in St. Petersburg. ''Restless Blood'' (Finnish: ''Levoton veri'') is a 1946 Finnish drama film directed by Teuvo Tulio and starring Regina Linnanheimo, Eino Katajavuori and Toini Vartiainen.Kääpä p.41 The film tells the story of siblings Sylvi and Outi, who love the same man, Sylvi's husband Valter. The couple's relationship breaks down after the tragic death of their child. After becoming blind, Sylvi suspects Valter is being unfaithful to her. Eleonora "Nora" Mäkinen (also named Gabrielsson and Marttinen; born 11 December 1920 in Vyborg - died 28 February 1984 in Helsinki) was a Finnish model and actress. Finnish ( endonym: or ) is a Uralic language of the Finnic branch, spoken by the majority of the population in Finland and by ethnic Finns outside of Finland. Finnish is one of the two official languages of Finland (the other being Swedish).
