Nuța Olaru
Nuța Olaru (born August 28, 1970 in Orodel, Orodel, Dolj) is a female long-distance runner originally from Romania, who became a naturalized United States citizen in November 2012. She specializes in the marathon race. She set her personal best (2:24:33) in the women's marathon (sport), marathon in Chicago, Chicago, IL on October 10, 2004. She won the Big Sur Marathon in 2012, 2013 and 2014, ran the 2013 Boston Marathon in 2:42:57 and the 2014 Boston Marathon in 2:37:29. In April 2013, Olaru teamed up with the product development, ROLL Recovery, in Boulder, Colorado to help develop tools for runners. Victor Pițurcă
Victor Pițurcă (; born 8 May 1956) is a Romanian professional football manager and former player. Club career Pițurcă was born in Orodel, Dolj County. He joined Universitatea Craiova as a youth in 1970, aged 14, and four years later he was loaned to Dinamo Slatina, a club from Romania's Liga II, in order to gain more experience, before being called back to Craiova in 1975, making his debut for the team in November that year. As he was not used much by Universitatea, Pițurcă left the club in 1977 to join Pandurii Târgu Jiu and then FC Drobeta Turnu-Severin, from where he was signed by FC Olt, thus returning to play in Liga I. In 1983, he was requested by Steaua, helping the club to reach its highest peak in European football. Pițurcă won with Steaua the European Cup in 1986, the European Super Cup in 1987, and was the semi-finalist in the same competition losing to Benfica in 1988. Sorin Cârțu (born 12 November 1955) is a former football striker and football coach. Cârțu won two Romanian Championships and four Romanian Cups with Universitatea Craiova. As a coach, he succeeded to win in the 1990–91 season with Universitatea Craiova both trophies in Romania, Divizia A and the Romanian Cup. During CFR's Champions League tie against Swiss Super League champions FC Basel at St. Jakob-Park, Cârțu destroyed a section of the dugout with his foot after his side conceded a 75th-minute goal.
