Orlando Calixte (born February 3, 1992) is a Dominican professional baseball outfielder and shortstop for the Chunichi Dragons of Nippon Professional Baseball. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Kansas City Royals and San Francisco Giants. Background Calixte was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to parents born in Haiti. His father Dieudonne, emigrated to the Dominican Republic in 1977; obtained legal status and had several other children who also pursued baseball. Career Kansas City Royals Calixte was signed by the Kansas City Royals as an international free agent in August 2010. The Dominican Summer League Royals or DSL Royals are a minor league baseball team in the Dominican Summer League. The York Revolution is an American professional minor-league baseball team based in York, Pennsylvania. Class AAA
Triple-A (officially Class AAA) has been the highest level of play in Minor League Baseball in the United States since 1946. Currently, two leagues operate at the Triple-A level, the International League (IL) and the Pacific Coast League (PCL). There are 30 teams, one per each Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise, with 20 in the IL and 10 in the PCL. Triple-A teams are generally located in smaller cities as well as larger metropolitan areas without MLB teams, such as Austin, Jacksonville, Columbus, and Indianapolis. Omaha Storm Chasers
The Omaha Storm Chasers are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. They are located in Papillion, Nebraska, a suburb southwest of Omaha, and play their home games at Werner Park, which opened in 2011. The team previously played at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium from 1969 to 2010.
