Orit Wolf ( he, אורית וולף, born 1974 in Tel Aviv) is an Israeli pianist, composer and lecturer. Currently holds lecturer positions at the Royal Academy of Music in London and at Reichman University (IDC Arison School for Business Management), Israel. From 2022-2023 academic year, Wolf will be artist in residence at the Technion. Education Starting at the age of six, Orit Wolf studied piano with Hanna Shalgi. At the age of 16, she graduated from Thelma Yelin High School for the Arts and studied with Alexander Volkov. Lieutenant-General Orit Adato ( he, אורית אדטו, born 1955, birth name: Orit Eliaz) is a former Israeli military commander and Israel Prison Service Commissioner. Capping a 24-year military career, she served as commander of the Women's Corps from 1997 to 1999. In 2000 she was appointed Commissioner of the Israel Prison Service, being the first woman to hold that post. She is the founder and managing director of Adato Consulting Ltd., and is an international consultant on prison management, prison security, prison privatization, and dealing with incarcerated terrorists and gang members. Orit Noked ( he, אורית נוקד, born 25 October 1952) is an Israeli politician who served as a member of the Knesset for Independence and the Labor Party and as Minister of Agriculture. Biography Born in Jerusalem in 1952, Noked studied law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She became a legal advisor to the Kibbutz Movement in 1986, a job she held until 1992. Between 1996 and 2002 she served as director of the movement's legal department. She has also been a member of the Jewish National Fund's directorate, the Agricultural Association's secretariat, the National Council for Environmental Quality and the board of the Israel Lands Authority. Orit Ishay (Hebrew: אורית ישי; born 1961) is an Israeli artist working in photography, video and installation. She is also a lecturer in photography. Ishay's art examines the interrelation between man and place and possible systems of representation, while addressing questions pertaining to social and mental issues through temporal and spatial motifs. Orit Malka Strook ( he, אוֹרִית מַלְכָּה סְטְרוֹק, born 15 March 1960) is an Israeli far-right politician. She serves as a member of the Knesset for the Religious Zionist Party, and served as member of the Knesset for Tkuma (a faction within the Jewish Home) between 2013 and 2015. Strook is also among the leaders of the Jewish settlement in Hebron, and she established the Israeli non-governmental organization Human Rights Organization of Judea and Samaria, which she headed between 2004 and 2012. Octateuch
The Octateuch (, from grc, ἡ ὀκτάτευχος, he oktateuchos, "eight-part book") is a traditional name for the first eight books of the Bible, comprising the Pentateuch, plus the Book of Joshua, the Book of Judges and the Book of Ruth. These texts make up the first eight books of the Septuagint, which provided the ordering used in traditional Christian Bibles. This order is quite different from that of the Masoretic Text of the Jewish Bible, where Ruth is considered part of the third section of the canon, the Ketuvim, and is found after the Song of Songs, being the second of the Five Megillot. The Ethiopian Beta Israel Jewish community also uses the Octateuch, which they simply call the ''Orit''..
