Orion (Ryan Adams Album)
''Orion'' is the 11th studio album by singer-songwriter Ryan Adams, released on May 18, 2010, on Adams' own record label PAX AM. Described as Adams' first "fully-realized sci-fi metal concept album," ''Orion'' was released on a limited vinyl run, and could only be purchased from the PAX AM online store. There are no plans for a wide release, but as of November 4, 2010, Adams' new site paxamrecords.com is offering a standard edition vinyl that will also include the download card of the entire album. Those who purchased the album in its limited run also received a bonus 7" single. The album was recorded in 2006, while working on ''Easy Tiger'' with producer Jamie Candiloro, and is Adams' first full-length album release since splitting from The Cardinals in March 2009. Angel Rat
''Angel Rat'' is the sixth studio album released by Canadian heavy metal band Voivod. Produced by Terry Brown of Rush fame, it was released in 1991 by Mechanic/MCA Records and is the follow-up to their critically acclaimed release, 1989's '' Nothingface''. On this album, Voivod adopted a more alternative/ progressive/psychedelic rock sound, as opposed to the progressive metal of ''Nothingface'' and the thrash metal of previous releases. A music video was made for the song "Clouds in My House". While ''Angel Rat'' was released on a major record label, the album initially received mixed reviews and was not as successful as ''Nothingface'', though it has since gained a strong cult following. Bass Guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses. Since the mid-1950s, the bass guitar has largely replaced the double bass in popular music. Gregory Regis Ginn (born June 8, 1954) is an American guitarist, bassist, singer and songwriter, best known for being the leader, primary songwriter, and the only continuous member of the hardcore punk band Black Flag, which he founded and led from 1976 to 1986, and again in 2003. The band announced another reunion in 2013. Since the breakup of Black Flag, Ginn has recorded solo albums, and performed with such bands as October Faction, Gone, Confront James, Mojack, and others. He was 99th on ''Rolling Stone''s list of "The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time". Personal life Ginn was born June 8, 1954, in Tucson, Arizona. He began an electronics company in Hermosa Beach, California, called Solid State Tuners, when he was 12 years old and an amateur radio operator. The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that typically has six strings. ''29'' is the eighth studio album by alt-country singer-songwriter Ryan Adams, released on December 19, 2005 on Lost Highway. Produced by Ethan Johns, and recorded prior to the formation of backing band The Cardinals, the album was the last of three released in 2005. Session guitarist JP Bowersock would later go on to join the Cardinals, subsequently recording ''Cold Roses'' and '' Jacksonville City Nights'' alongside Adams. The album's cover art was drawn by Adams. The album has sold 81,000 copies in the United States and 153,000 worldwide.
