''Organik'' is the third studio album by Robert Miles, released on 11 June 2001. The first he independently recorded and produced after quitting his record company, it marked a complete departure from the style of his first two albums but still received overwhelmingly positive reviews. Overview ''Organik'' was composed and arranged during the summer of 1999 at Can Maresa in Ibiza, then recorded and mixed across seventeen months from 2000 to 2001 at Muchmoremusic Studios in London. Self-released on Salt Records, it is also available from Narada, Shakti Records (U.S.), and DBX Records. The title "TSBOL" stands for "That Small Bubble of Life". It is derived from the sample used in the track intro: "'' Time to work. Time to relax. Time to reflect... Look down. Look down. King of The Dot Entertainment, also known as KOTD, is a North American rap battle league founded in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 2008. The company's HQ is based in Toronto, from which it gets its name. Successful battlers such as Pat Stay, Dizaster, Head Ice, Rone, Arsonal, Charron, Math Hoffa, Madchild, and many more have battled in King of the Dot. About King of the Dot is hosted by its founder Organik. Roberto Concina (3 November 1969 – 9 May 2017), known professionally as Robert Miles, was an Italian record producer, composer, musician and DJ. His 1995 composition "Children (composition), Children" sold more than 5 million copies and topped the charts worldwide. Early life Robert Miles was born in Fleurier, Switzerland, to Italian parents. Miles became proficient at playing the piano during his youth in Friuli, Italy, in the small town of Fagagna, where his family moved when he was young, and had been in the music scene since 1984. He worked as a DJ in some Italian Nightclub, clubs and private radio networks, and in 1990 he used his savings to establish his own recording studio and a Pirate radio, pirate radio station. Trilok Gurtu
Trilok Gurtu (born 30 October 1951) is an Indian percussionist and composer whose work has blended the music of India with jazz fusion and world music. He has worked with Terje Rypdal, Gary Moore, John McLaughlin, Jan Garbarek, Joe Zawinul, Michel Bisceglia, Bill Laswell, Maria João & Mário Laginha, and Robert Miles. Early life Gurtu was born to Hindu Brahmin parents in Mumbai, India; he had a Kashmiri Pandit father and a Marathi mother. He attended Don Bosco High School (Matunga) in Mumbai. Nitin Sawhney , D.Mus (; born 1964) is a British musician, producer and composer. A recipient of the Ivor Novello Lifetime Achievement award in 2017, among multiple international awards throughout his career. ''23am'' is the second studio album by composer Robert Miles, released in late 1997 via Deconstruction and Arista labels. Background and recording The composition of ''23am'' began from the '' Dreamland'' tour, during which Miles collected audio samples from virtually every city visited. Aside from being based on his experiences of these travels (in the liner notes Miles emphasizes the influence seeing in person so many problems that society has brought onto itself had),Miles, Robert (1997). In ''23am'' D liner notes Deconstruction Ltd. Miles has also said that the album reflects the human life cycle from birth to death. ''23am'' also contains four vocal songs, a ratio of vocals to instrumentals that is almost equal to that of ''Dreamland''. The London Session Orchestra
The London Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) is one of five permanent symphony orchestras based in London. It was founded by the conductors Sir Thomas Beecham and Malcolm Sargent in 1932 as a rival to the existing London Symphony and BBC Symphony Orchestras. The founders' ambition was to build an orchestra the equal of any European or American rival. Between 1932 and the Second World War the LPO was widely judged to have succeeded in this regard. After the outbreak of war, the orchestra's private backers withdrew and the players reconstituted the LPO as a self-governing cooperative. Sarangi
The sārangī is a bowed, short-necked string instrument played in traditional music from South Asia – Punjabi folk music, Rajasthani folk music, and Boro folk music (there known as the ''serja'') – in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. It is said to most resemble the sound of the human voice through its ability to imitate vocal ornaments such as ''gamaks'' (shakes) and ''meends'' (sliding movements). The sarangi (Nepali) is a different instrument, traditional to Nepal. History Sarangi derives its name from the bow of Lord Vishnu and probably as it is played with a bow it is named sarangi. Dhruba Ghosh (1957 - 2017) was an Indian classical musician and Sarangi player from Mumbai. Biography Dhruba Ghosh was born in 1957 in Mumbai. His father Padma Bhushan Pt Nikhil Ghosh was a famous musician, teacher and writer, known his proficiency on the percussion instrument of tabla.
