Oregon State Beavers Women's Gymnastics
The Oregon State Beavers women's gymnastics team represents Oregon State University in NCAA women's artistic gymnastics, competing at the Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, Oregon. History The program began in 1966; competing the first time in 1967, with Sylvia Moore taking the lead as the first gymnastics coach of the modern era of Oregon State. She headed the program until 1975, when Ron Ludwig succeeded her – the Beavers finished sixth at the AIAW Regional in Monmouth, Oregon. With Ludwig at the helm, the Beavers won the Regional Championship five times, not placing below fourth the whole ten years he was leading. In 1979, Oregon State finished seventh at the AIAW Championships. The next season the Beavers finished in a record fourth in the team competition, with two representatives in event finals. Madeline Gardiner (born January 27, 1995) is a Canadians, Canadian retired artistic gymnastics, artistic gymnast and an alternate for the 2012 Summer Olympics team. Junior career 2010 In April, Gardiner competed at the Pacific Rim Championships in Melbourne, Australia. She placed fourth in the all around competition with a score of 53.400 which also helped the Canadian team to place fourth. Gymnastics at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo was held in three categories: artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics and trampolining. Three gymnastics disciplines were contested at the 2012 Olympic Games in London: artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics and trampolining. The trampoline events were held at the North Greenwich Arena (normally called The O2 Arena) from 3 to 4 August; the artistic events were also held at the North Greenwich Arena, from 28 July to 7 August. Olivia Vivian
Olivia Vivian (born 13 July 1989 in Perth) is an Australian artistic gymnast who competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics. After competing at the 2008 Olympics, Vivian competed for Oregon State University in NCAA gymnastics for four years. She also competed in the 2005, 2006, and 2014 World Championships. Vivian won a silver medal with the Australian team at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. In 2020, she was one of several former gymnasts to speak out about a "toxic" culture within the country's elite programme. Personal life Olivia Vivian was born on 13 July 1989 in Perth, Australia.
