The Order of the Sons of America (El Orden Hijos de America or OSA) was a civic organization formed by Mexican-American citizens in San Antonio, San Antonio, Texas on October 13, 1921.Cynthia E. Somerset, Texas
Somerset is a city located in Bexar County, Texas, Bexar County, Texas, United States. It is located less than 20 miles south of Downtown San Antonio and is part of the metropolitan area. The population was 1,756 at the 2020 census. History English speaking European settlers had already arrived in the area by the early 1800s. Somerset was named for an organized settlement that had been begun in 1848, in what is now Atascosa County, by a group of Baptist families from Somerset, Kentucky. The present site was named Somerset when the First Townsite Company was formed on the Artesian Belt Railroad right-of-way on May 25, 1909, by A. M. Pyron, Carl Kurz, and Jonas A. Kerr. Pearsall ( ) is a city in and the county seat of Frio County, Texas, United States. The population was 9,146 at the 2010 census, up from 7,157 at the 2000 census. Geography Pearsall is located near the center of Frio County at (28.891458, –99.094873). Interstate 35 bypasses the city on the west side, with access from Exits 99, 101, and 104. The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) is the largest and oldest Hispanic and Latin-American civil rights organization in the United States.
