The Minister-President of Brandenburg is the head of government of the German state of Brandenburg. The office was created in 1990 after the German reunification and the joining of Brandenburg in the Federal Republic of Germany. The current and third Minister-President is Dietmar Woidke, heading a coalition government between the Social Democrats, the CDU and the Alliance '90/The Greens. Woidke succeeded Matthias Platzeck in August 2013. Henry Maske (, ; born 6 January 1964) is a German former professional boxer and one of Germany's most popular sports figures. He held the IBF light heavyweight title from 1993 until 1996. Hannah Elisabeth Pick-Goslar (born Hanna Elisabeth Goslar; 12 November 1928 – 28 October 2022) was a German-born Israeli nurse and Holocaust survivor best known for her close friendship with writer Anne Frank. The girls attended the 6th Montessori School (named after Anne Frank in 1957) in Amsterdam and then the Jewish Lyceum. They met again at Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Goslar and her young sister were the only family members who survived the war, being rescued from the Lost Train. Both emigrated to Israel, where Hannah worked as a nurse for children. Matthias Platzeck (born 29 December 1953) is a German politician. He was Minister President of Brandenburg from 2002 to 2013 and party chairman of the SPD from November 2005 to April 2006. Werner Otto (13 August 1909 – 21 December 2011) was a German entrepreneur. In 1949, he founded Otto GmbH, which eventually became the world's largest mail order group. He was married three times and had five children. Otto and his family consistently ranked among the wealthiest Germans. Siegfried Matthus (13 April 1934 – 27 August 2021) was a German composer, conductor, and festival founder and manager. Some of his operas, such as '' Judith'', were premiered at the Komische Oper Berlin in East Berlin. In 1991, he founded the chamber opera festival Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg and directed it until 2018. In 2005, he composed a Te Deum for the reopening of the Dresden Frauenkirche.
