Order Of Civil Merit Of The Syrian Arab Republic
Order of Civil Merit ( ar, وسام الاستحقاق المدني) (french: Ordre du Mérite civil) is a Syrian decoration. It was established on 25 June 1953. The decoration is awarded for service to the state or to the Arab cause. It has five classes, including the Excellent Class awarded in badge of star; the First Class, awarded in badge or star; the Second Class; the Third Class and the Fourth Class. The Excellent and the First Class are worn on a suit, while the Second Class is worn on a ribbon around the neck. The Third and the Fourth Class are worn on a ribbon on the right side of a chest. The colours of the decoration's ribbon are white-green-white, each represented in equal ratio. Nazir Nabaa
Nazir Nabaa ( ar, نذير نبعة) (born 1938 in Damascus, Syria) was a Syrian painter. Considered a pioneer of modern Syrian art, he studied art at the College of Fine Arts in Cairo in Cairo from 1959 to 1965 during the time of the United Arab Republic. He continued his training at École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris from 1971 to 1974. After completing his studies he returned to Damascus and joined the faculty of the College of Fine Arts at Damascus University. Nabaa's style is noted for blending together ancient visual culture with modern themes, and his work has been shown in exhibitions at museums such as the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts. Ra'ad bin Zeid ( ar, رعد بن زيد; born 18 February 1936) is the son of Prince Zeid of the Hashemite House and Princess Fahrelnissa Zeid (''Fakhr un-nisa'' or ''Fahr-El-Nissa''), a Turkish noblewoman. Upon the death of his father on 18 October 1970, he inherited the position as head of the former Royal Houses of Iraq. Ra'ad has lived in London and Paris. Dmitry Timofeyevich Yazov (russian: Дми́трий Тимофе́евич Я́зов; 8 November 1924 – 25 February 2020) was a Marshal of the Soviet Union. Adib al-Shishakli (1909 – 27 September 1964 ar, أديب الشيشكلي, ʾAdīb aš-Šīšaklī) was a Syrian military leader and President of Syria from 1953 to 1954. Early life Adib Shishakli was born (1909) in the Hama Sanjak of Ottoman Syria to a Syrian family. His mother was of Kurdish origin.
