Román Viñoly Barreto (8 August 1914 – 20 August 1970) was a Uruguayan-Argentine film director. Biography Viñoly Barreto directed 28 feature films between 1947 and 1966 including ''The Black Vampire'', '' Paper Boats'', the 1954 film '' El Abuelo'' which starred Enrique Muino and Mecha Ortiz and Esta Es Mi Vida starring Miguel de Molina. His 1958 film ''Los dioses ajenos'' was entered into the 8th Berlin International Film Festival. His 1965 film ''La pérgola de las flores'' was entered into the 4th Moscow International Film Festival. Two years later, he was a member of the jury of the 5th Moscow International Film Festival. He was also a notable screenwriter, theater and opera director. Personal life The director was the father of architect Rafael Viñoly, artist Daniel Viñoly, and Dr. Ana Maria de la Merced Viñoly. Ambar La Fox (born Amanda Lasausse; 1935 in Buenos Aires – December 8, 1993), was an Argentine actress, dancer, singer and Diva. In 1977, she starred in the theatre show “Chicago” with Nelida Lobato. Mario Lozano (actor)
Mario Lozano (b. 1969/1970) is a United States Army specialist, best known for once being indicted by an Italian court for his role in the death of Italian Secret Service officer Nicola Calipari in a supposed incident on Route Irish, immediately following the Rescue of Giuliana Sgrena. Lozano was not the only American soldier involved in this incident, but received much more attention because he was the one who fired the machine gun killing Calipari. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion of the 69th Infantry Regiment, 42nd Infantry Division of the New York Army National Guard, based in Manhattan. In 2007, a superior Italian court decided that Italy had no jurisdiction in this case—though renewed, this motivation has been since dubbed as wrong by the High Jury Italian court in 2008. Sergio Renán (30 January 1933 – 13 June 2015) was an Argentine actor, film director, and screenwriter. Biography Born Samuel Kohan in Buenos Aires in 1933, his parents were Jewish immigrants who had lived in one of the numerous Jewish agricultural colonies in Entre Ríos Province. Renán became an accomplished violinist in his teens and, following a minor film role in Mario Soffici's 1951 drama ''Pasó en mi barrio'' (''It Happened in My Neighborhood''), he joined the theatre as an actor and continued to appear in supporting roles in Argentine cinema.
