Orzinuovi (Brescian: ) is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy, Italy. History It was founded in 1193 by statute of the ''comune'' of Brescia, as a boundary fortress with the name of "Orci Novi". Its history thenceforth closely follows that of Brescia, sharing the Venetian dominion from 1466 until Venice's demise in 1797. It became part of Napoleon's Italian states until 1815, when it became part of the Kingdom of Lombardy–Venetia, as part of the Austrian Empire. It is the seventh level (since 2014–15) in the Italian football league system and is organized by the National Amateur League by the Regional Committees. Luigi Maifredi (born 20 April 1947), commonly known as Gigi Maifredi, is an Italian football manager, currently working as a technical collaborator of Italian club Brescia. Career Born in Lograto (Province of Brescia), started out playing in his hometown club's youth system, and later played for Rovereto and Portogruaro. Maifredi's coaching career began in 1976 with amateur side Real Brescia.
