Orange Record Label
Orange Record Label was a Canadian independent record label, located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Orange recordings were distributed in Canada by Universal Music Canada, which was also a minority stakeholder in the label. Orange is also used to record and distribute the songs featured on the ''Instant Star'' television series starring Alexz Johnson. Stephen Stohn, executive Producer of ''Instant Star'', is also a minority stakeholder and director of Orange. Orange also plays host to the ''Live @ Orange Sessions'' which are recorded in the Orange Lounge Recording Studio for webcasting on Bell Sympatico. Orange's distribution arm, Starcana Distribution, facilitates the national distribution of independent labels and artists. Christopher John Cornell (né Boyle; July 20, 1964 – May 18, 2017) was an American singer and musician best known as the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and primary lyricist and songwriter for the rock bands Soundgarden and Audioslave. Jim Bryson
Jim Bryson is a Canadian singer-songwriter. Briefly a founding member of the band Punchbuggy, he moved to a musical life under his own name with the release of his debut album, ''The Occasionals'', in 2000. A member of singer-songwriter Kathleen Edwards's touring band, Bryson has also toured and recorded with many other artists, including Howe Gelb, Lynn Miles, Sarah Harmer, The Weakerthans, Hilotrons and The Tragically Hip. Bryson has toured Canada and the United Kingdom extensively. He has played the South by Southwest festival and his music has been in rotation on CBC Radio 3. He is the subject of Kathleen Edwards's song "I Make the Dough, You Get the Glory", which appears on her album '' Asking for Flowers''. Paul Rennée Belobersycky (born July 21, 1972), known professionally as Paul Brandt, is a Canadian country music artist. Growing up in Calgary, he was a pediatric RN at the time of his big break. Jonathan Tyler "Ty" Kyte (born July 24, 1984) is a Canadian actor and musician. Ash & Bloom was a Canadian folk pop duo, from Hamilton, Ontario, consisting of James Bloemendal (vocals, acoustic and electric guitar, percussion) and Matt McKenna (vocals, acoustic guitar, mandolin, percussion). Justin Hines is a Canadian singer-songwriter who was born in Newmarket, Ontario. Hines has a rare genetic joint condition called Larsen's syndrome and uses a power wheelchair.
