''Orange Ave.'' is the fourth studio album by American post-grunge band Seven Mary Three. It was released on July 14, 1998, on Atlantic Records. The album peaked at #121 on the ''Billboard'' 200. The album is named after a street running through downtown Orlando, Florida, the band's hometown. The album's only ''Billboard''-charting single was "Over Your Shoulder" (#7 on Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks and #16 on Hot Modern Rock Tracks). "Each Little Mystery" was also released as a single, but did not chart. Critical reception ''The A.V. Club'' wrote that "though Seven Mary Three still won't be mistaken for a creative dynamo—its diversity generally means there's a wider variety of forgettable rock songs from which to choose on ''Orange Ave.''—it's certainly not so difficult to endure, sort of like the work of an accomplished but underwhelming bar band." Seven Mary Three (occasionally abbreviated to 7 Mary 3 or 7M3) was an American rock band. They released seven studio albums and one live album, and are best known for their hit single "Cumbersome". Career Formation Seven Mary Three formed in 1992 when Jason Ross and Jason Pollock met while attending The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. Ross and Pollock split songwriting duties with Ross on lead vocals and rhythm guitar and Pollock on lead guitar and backing vocals. Bassist Casey Daniel and drummer Giti Khalsa joined the two, and the band began playing in coffeehouses and clubs. Origin of group name Guitarist Jason Pollock revealed in ''The Cavalier Daily'' that they came up with the name while watching the 1980s TV series ''CHiPs''. The ''Billboard'' 200 is a record chart ranking the 200 most popular music albums and EPs in the United States. Kevin McKendree (born April 27, 1969) is an American electric blues pianist, keyboardist, guitarist, singer, and songwriter. In addition to having a lengthy and varied career as a session musician, McKendree has released two solo albums. Life and career Born Kevin Yates McKendree, in Nuremberg, Germany, he is a self-taught pianist and guitarist, initially utilizing the playing of Little Richard, Ray Charles and B.B. King as inspiration. When he was 17, he became a professional musician and worked around the Washington, D.C. area playing alongside Big Joe Maher, Tom Principato, Bob Margolin and Mark Wenner. However, he also worked as a piano salesman to supplement his income. He relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, Nashville in 1995, and secured a job backing Lee Roy Parnell as part of his band known as the Hot Links. In the field of recorded music, a hidden track (sometimes called a ghost track, secret track or unlisted track) is a song or a piece of audio that has been placed on a CD, audio cassette, LP record, or other recorded medium, in such a way as to avoid detection by the casual listener.
