An Oracle User Group is a private, generally non-profit or not-for-profit organization that provides support and education for users of Oracle Corporation technology, particularly for professional users, however student user groups have also been established. The Oracle user groups often hold conferences, publish periodicals and survey members to provide real data back to Oracle. Quest Oracle Community (formerly Quest International Users Group) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting users of JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, and Oracle Cloud applications. It is an Oracle User Group. It is part of the International Oracle User Group Community which also includes the Oracle Applications Users Group ( OAUG) and the Independent Oracle Users Group ( IOUG). Quest International Users Group was formed in 1995 with the blessings and support of Ed McVaney C. JD Edwards
J.D. Edwards World Solution Company or JD Edwards, abbreviated JDE, was an enterprise resource planning (ERP) software company, whose namesake ERP system is still sold under ownership by Oracle Corporation. JDE's products included World for IBM AS/400 minicomputers (the users using a computer terminal or terminal emulator), OneWorld for CNC architecture (a client–server fat client), and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (a web-based thin client). The company was founded March 1977 in Denver, Colorado, by Jack Thompson, C.T.P. "Chuck" Hintze, Dan Gregory, and C. Edward "Ed" McVaney.
