Opera House (1961 Film)
Opera House is a 1961 Indian Hindi-language mystery film produced by A.A. Nadiadwala and directed by P.L. Santoshi. The film stars Ajit, B. Saroja Devi, K.N. Singh and Lalita Pawar among others. It marked Saroja Devi's Bollywood debut. Plot Saroj (B. Saroja Devi) lives a poor lifestyle in Nagpur along with her widowed mother, Leela Sharma (Lalita Pawar) and a younger sister, Nanhi. She gets employed as a singer/dancer in Bombay and relocates there. Once there, she meets with Ajit Rai (Ajit), and the couple fall in love. Circumstances compel her to re-locate to Nagpur and seek employment with another dance/drama company run by Chunilal. Ajit decides to follow her to Nagpur, and visits her mother and sister. It is from here he locates the dance/drama company and does meet Saroj — only to find out that she has changed her name to Mary D'Souza. Ajit Khan
Hamid Ali Khan (27 January 1922 – 22 October 1998), better known by his stage name Ajit, was an Indian actor active in Hindi films. He acted in over two hundred movies over almost four decades. Majrooh Sultanpuri
Asrar ul Hassan Khan (1 October 1919 − 24 May 2000), better known as Majrooh Sultanpuri, was an Indian Urdu poet and lyricist in India's Hindi language film industry. He wrote Hindustani lyrics for numerous Hindi film soundtracks. He was one of the dominating musical forces in Indian cinema in the 1950s and early 1960s, and was an important figure in the Progressive Writers' Movement. Mukesh Chand Mathur (22 July 1923 – 27 August 1976), better known mononymously as Mukesh, was an Indian playback singer. Mukesh is considered to be one of the most popular and acclaimed playback singers of the Hindi film industry. Bimbo (song)
"Bimbo" is a popular song written in either 1948 or 1949 by Glenn O'Dell, but credited to Rodney (Rod) Morris or "Pee Wee" King. It was recorded in 1953 by Jim Reeves on Abbott 148. The song was later included in the 1965 album ''Up Through the Years'' on RCA Victor. Reeves' version became his second No. 1 song on the ''Billboard magazine'' country chart in January 1954, and helped pave the way to his eventual superstardom. Like his previous No. 1 hit "Mexican Joe," "Bimbo" was more of a novelty hit for Reeves; as such, "Bimbo" differed greatly from the smooth, Nashville sound ballads - " Four Walls" and "He'll Have to Go" - that he later recorded and made famous.
