''Open Your Eyes'' is the fourth album by American punk rock band Goldfinger. It was released on May 21, 2002. This was the first album to feature former Ünloco guitarist, Brian Arthur, after Charlie's departure from the band. Release On March 7, 2002, ''Open Your Eyes'' was announced for release in two months' time. "Open Your Eyes" was released to radio in late March. In April and May 2002, the band toured the US and Canada with Sum 41. ''Open Your Eyes'' was released on May 21, 2002, through Jive and Mojo Records. In May and June, the band toured across the US, which was followed by three shows in Canada in July. In August, the band appeared at a few of the North-eastern Warped Tour shows. On August 13 and September 23, the band performed on the ''Last Call with Carson Daly''. In October, the band toured across Australia. In April 2003, the band headlined the Skate and Surf Fest. Goldfinger (band)
Goldfinger is an American punk rock and ska punk band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1994. In their early years the band was considered a contributor to the movement of third-wave ska, a mid-1990s revitalization in the popularity of ska. However, the releases of '' Open Your Eyes'' and '' Disconnection Notice'' saw the band shed most of the ska influence, and they have been more commonly placed in the punk rock genre in later years. ''Ox-Fanzine'' is a monthly punk zine from Solingen, Germany, founded in 1988. It is edited by Joachim Hiller and has had many contributors. Besides its focus on punk subculture, it also covers similar genres, reviews of comics, books and films, and has included serial novels by authors such as Klaus N. Frick. By 2019, ''Ox'' had a circulation of 10,000 copies. History ''Ox-Fanzine'' was founded in 1988 by Joachim Hiller and Biggi Häußler in Heidenheim an der Brenz (Southern Germany). Its first issue was published in January 1989. The zine was named after the cat of Häußler, which appeared on the first cover. After some time, ''Ox'' merged with the zine ''Faces the Facts'' and was joined by its editor Thomas Hähnel, but eventually Häußler and Hähnel left it to focus on other endeavours, leaving Hiller as the only editor. Darrin Michael Pfeiffer (born 1969) is an American musician, record producer, band manager and radio personality. He has played drums in the pop punk bands Goldfinger, Sum 41, and The Salads. Biography Pfeiffer was born in Akron, New York. He began his music career in the mid 1980s, when, as a teen, he was a part of a thrash metal band called ''Beyond Death''. The band's two other members went on to found the death metal band Cannibal Corpse in 1988. In 1994, Pfeiffer became a founding member and drummer of Goldfinger. Robert Edward McCracken (born February 25, 1982) is an American singer who is the lead vocalist and songwriter of the rock band The Used.
