Op Zoek Naar Zorro
''Op zoek naar Zorro'' (''Looking for Zorro'') is a Dutch television talent series broadcast on AVRO from late 2010 until early 2011. It documented the search for a new, undiscovered musical theatre performer to play the role of Zorro in the then-forthcoming stage production of ''Zorro'', the musical with book written by Stephen Clark and Helen Edmundson and music by the Gipsy Kings and John Cameron. Produced by Eyeworks for the AVRO, the series was hosted by Frits Sissing and judged by Willem Nijholt. Frits Sissing (born 18 September 1963) is a Dutch television presenter. He is known for presenting television shows which include ''Opsporing Verzocht'', ''Tussen Kunst & Kitsch'' and ''Maestro''. He also presented ''Blik op de weg'' and several talent show-themed television series to find a musical theatre performer for a musical. AVRO
AVRO, short for Algemene Vereniging Radio Omroep ("General Association of Radio Broadcasting"), was a Dutch public broadcasting association operating within the framework of the Nederlandse Publieke Omroep system. ''Op zoek naar Maria'' (''Looking for Maria'') is a reality television, talent competition program that aired in Belgium on VTM (TV channel), VTM. It premiered on 25 March 2009. The premise of the series was to find a musical theatre performer to play the role of Maria von Trapp in the 2009 and Roel Vente revival of The Sound of Music at the Efteling Theatre. The show is hosted by Koen Wauters and featured , Linda Lepomme, and Peter de Smet as the judges for the show. Following a public telephone vote, 27-year-old was chosen as Maria with 25-year-old Fleur Brusselmans as the runner up and Liv Van Aelst in third place. A commercial advertising the show, featuring over 200 dancers in it, seemingly spontaneously, to "Do-Re-Mi" in Antwerpen-Centraal railway station, has received over 20,000,000 hits on YouTube. ''Op zoek naar Joseph'' (''Looking for Joseph'') was a 2008 talent show-themed television series produced by the AVRO in the Netherlands. It searched for a new, unknown lead to play Joseph in a 2009 Dutch revival of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical ''Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat''. The show was hosted by Frits Sissing, who announced Freek Bartels as the winner of the final public telephone vote on 26 October 2008.
