Oorantha Sankranthi
''Oorantha Sankranthi'' is a 1983 Telugu-language drama film, produced by Kodali Bosu Babu Kotagiri Gopal Rao under the Veera Rani Enterprises & Kotagiri Films banner and directed by Dasari Narayana Rao. It stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Krishna, Sridevi, Jayasudha and music composed by S. P. Balasubrahmanyam. Plot The film begins in a village where President Raghavaiah who leads a happy family life along with his wife Bhanumathi and two sons Venu & Gopi. Since the elder one Venu is the stepson to Bhanumathi looks him down. Parallelly, Kotaiah vicious brother-in-law of Raghavaiah also resides with them. Gopi loves his daughter Satya and Venu falls in love with a poor girl Durga. Meanwhile, Govt sanctions Rs. 50,000 on the village panchayat, Kotaiah snatches it by threatening the Gumustha Ranga Rao which leads to the resignation of Raghavaiah. Dasari Narayana Rao
Dasari Narayana Rao (4 May 1947 – 30 May 2017) was an Indian film director, producer, screenwriter, actor, lyricist, and politician known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema, in addition to Hindi cinema. He has directed more than 150 feature films in a variety of genres. He holds the '' Limca World Record'' for directing the most number of films in the world. Suryakantham (28 October 1924 – 18 December 1994) was an Indian actress in Tollywood. She was popular for playing the role of a cruel mother-in-law in most of her movies. Nagesh (born Cheyur Krishnarao Nageshwaran; (27 September 1933 – 31 January 2009) was an Indian actor, mostly remembered for his roles as a comedian in Tamil films during the 1960s.
