"OopDeeWopDee" is a hip hop, R&B, and soul song by Casablanca Records recording group NSS16. The song features Universal Records David Banner and Aloe Blacc. Released on April 20, 2004, the song was written by Greg Lawson, Mike Anthony, and multi-media activist Hakeem Khaaliq who served as the co-producer, music video treatment writer and Music video director for the single. Lyrically, the song is a young woman's plea to stay virtuous. Due to internal problems between management and the group never toured. In ''Billboard'' Magazine, the remix featuring David Banner peaked at #49 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles Sales, which ranks sales of physical singles. Hakeem Khaaliq
Hakeem Khaaliq (also Hakeem Abdul-Khaaliq) is an American cinematographer, television producer, film director, photographer, multi-media activist, graphic design artist, and visual anthropologist. Before his career in film and television he worked as a music producer, music publisher, music supervisor and radio personality. In 1995 Khaaliq founded Radio Bums and in 2010 he co-founded ''Nation19'' magazine / APDTA with longtime partner Queen Muhammad Ali. On January 30, 2022 Sundance Film Festival presented by MPAC's Hollywood Bureau and ISF with panelist filmmakers Hakeem Khaaliq, Iman Zawahry, Sami Khan, Muna Deria, Queen Muhammad Ali, and Tarek Albaba. Bokeem Woodbine (born April 13, 1973) is an American actor. In 1994 he portrayed Joshua, Jason's troubled brother, in ''Jason's Lyric''.
