''Ontarjatra'' ( bn, অন্তর্যাত্রা; ''Homeland'') is a 2006 Bangladeshi drama film directed by Tareque Masud and Catherine Masud. Upon its release on 2006, the film achieved critical and commercial success. It won for Best Direction at International Film Festival Bangladesh in 2006. Special Jury Award at Osian's Cinefan Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema, Osian's Cinefan Festival Delhi in 2006. Synopsis ''Ontorjatra'' (literally meaning "inner journey") is a Bengali intimate exploration of the complex issues of dislocation and identity in a diasporic world. Tareque Masud
Tareque Masud (6 December 1956 – 13 August 2011) was a Bangladeshi independent film director, film producer, screenwriter and lyricist. He first found success with the films ''Muktir Gaan'' (1995) and ''Matir Moina'' (2002), for which he won three international awards, including the International Critics' FIPRESCI Prize, in the Directors' Fortnight at 2002 Cannes Film Festival. The film became Bangladesh's first film to compete for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Masud died in a road accident on 13 August 2011 while returning to Dhaka from Manikganj on the Dhaka-Aricha highway after visiting a filming location. Masud was working on '' Kagojer Phool'' (The Paper Flower). In 2012, he posthumously received Ekushey Padak, the second highest civilian award of Bangladesh. Sara Zaker
Sara Zaker is a Bangladeshi theatre and television actor, director, business entrepreneur and social activist. She was awarded Ekushey Padak by the Government of Bangladesh in 2017. Early life and education Zaker was born to Major Salauddin Mohammad Amin and Alia Amin, a former school teacher. She was nicknamed ''Chixie''. Zaker completed her bachelor's and master's from the University of Dhaka in English literature. She was also trained at the British Theater Institute in 1981. Rokeya Prachy is a Bangladeshi theater, television and film actress and director. Career Prachy got her acting breakthrough in Morshedul Islam's film ''Dukhai'' in 1997. Her first directorial work was a docufiction for Channel I in 2009. She later directed ''"Lutfunnesa"'' and ''"Bayanno'r Michhile"''. In 2015, she made her first television series direction in ''"Shelai Poribar"''. Personal life Prachy was married to Sergeant Ahad Parvez.
