Onslaught (Marvel Comics)
Onslaught is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Onslaught was written as a sentient psionic entity created from the consciousness of two mutants: Professor X, Professor Charles Xavier and Magneto (Marvel Comics), Magneto. During a battle between the X-Men and Magneto's Acolytes (comics), Acolytes, Professor Xavier used his Telepathy, telepathic powers to shut down Magneto's mind, rendering him catatonic. It was explained through the Onslaught crossover series that the darkest aspect of Magneto's mind escaped into Xavier's subconscious, where it "merged" with Xavier's own darker nature to eventually grow into a separate persona of its own. X-Men
The X-Men are a superhero team appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, first appearing in Uncanny X-Men, ''The X-Men'' #1 by artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby and writer/editor Stan Lee in 1963. Although initially cancelled in 1970 due to low sales, following its Giant-Size X-Men, 1975 revival and subsequent direction under writer Chris Claremont, it became one of the most recognizable and successful franchises of Marvel Comics. Juggernaut (comics)
Juggernaut (Cain Marko) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist/co-writer Jack Kirby, he first appeared in ''Uncanny X-Men, X-Men'' #12 (July 1965) as an adversary of the X-Men, eponymous superhero team. Since then, he has come into conflict with other heroes, primarily Spider-Man and the Hulk. Cain Marko is a regular human who was empowered by a gem belonging to the deity Cyttorak, becoming a literal human juggernaut. He possesses superhuman strength and durability, and is virtually immune to most physical attacks; his helmet also protects him from mental attacks. Age Of Apocalypse
"Age of Apocalypse" is a 1995 comic book crossover storyline mostly published in the X-Men franchise of books by Marvel Comics. The ''Age of Apocalypse'' briefly replaced the universe of Earth-616 and had ramifications in the main Marvel Comics universe when the original timeline was restored. It was later retconned as having occurred in the alternate universe of Earth-295. During the entirety of the ''Age of Apocalypse'' event the regularly published X-Men comics were replaced by new X-Men related mini series, focusing on various teams and individuals in the ''Age of Apocalypse'' world including ''X-Calibre'', ''Gambit and the X-Ternals'', ''Generation Next'', ''Astonishing X-Men'', ''Amazing X-Men'', ''Weapon X'', ''Factor X'', ''X-Man'' and ''X-Universe''.
