Lee Jin-ki (; born December 14, 1989), better known by his stage name Onew, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, actor and host. Born in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi-do, Onew was discovered at the 2006 SM Academy Casting and signed a contract with SM Entertainment the day after his audition. He debuted as the lead vocalist and leader of boy group Shinee in May 2008, who went on to become one of the best-selling artists in South Korea. As a singer, he has participated in the original soundtracks for various TV series and released collaborations with various artists. He made his solo debut on December 5, 2018, with the release of his first extended play, '' Voice'', five days before his military conscription on December 10, 2018. Lee, I, or Yi () is the second-most-common surname in Korea, behind Kim (김). Historically, 李 was officially written as Ni () in Korea. The spelling officially changed to I () in 1933 when the initial sound rule () was established. In North Korea, it is romanized as Ri () because there is no distinction between the alveolar liquids /l/ and /r/ in modern Korean. ''Dice'' is the second extended play by South Korean singer Onew. It was released on April 11, 2022, through SM Entertainment. It consists of six tracks, including the lead single Dice (Onew song), of the same name. Background and release Onew released his debut solo EP, ''Voice (Onew EP), Voice'', in 2018, after which he Conscription in South Korea, enlisted in the military. His second EP was initially scheduled for a September 2021 release, before eventually being confirmed for April 2022, three years and four months after ''Voice''. Onew took a greater role in the production process than on his first EP, and stated that he felt increased pressure as a result. ''Genie'' () is the second extended play by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation. The EP was released on June 29, 2009, by SM Entertainment. Composers Yoo Young-jin, Kenzie, Hwang Seong-je and Kim Jin-hwan joined the production of the EP. Girls’ Generation started their official promotions on ''Music Bank'', on June 26, 2009, ending their promotions on August 15. History The EP was released on June 29, 2009. Their first win for their single "Genie" was obtained at the July 10, 2009 episode of KBS ''Music Bank''. Their second award was claimed at the July 12, 2009 episode of SBS '' Inkigayo''. Jessica Jung (born Jessica Sooyoun Jung; April 18, 1989), also known by the mononym Jessica, is a South Korean-American singer, songwriter, actress, author, fashion designer and businesswoman known for her work as a former member of South Korean girl group Girls' Generation. ''Inkigayo'' ( ko, 인기가요; English title: ''The Music Trend'', previously ''Popular Song'') is a South Korean music program broadcast by SBS. It airs live every Sunday. The show features some of the latest and most popular artists who perform on stage. It is broadcast from the SBS Open Hall in Deungchon-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul.
